Wander Offers the Perfect Spot for Digital Nomads Who Want It All

Many decide to visit the Northern California coast and some are lucky enough to stay – and for good reason. This stunningly-beautiful, unspoiled coastline is home to giant Redwood groves, rugged Pacific Ocean cliffs, and picturesque rocky beaches. Numerous state and national parks, miles of vineyards, and charming coastal towns are ripe to explore, filled with unexpected shopping and food experiences. The coast of Northern California truly has it all, with beaches, cities, and forests to discover; it is the perfect place to settle in and spend some time.

All this area has to offer can be experienced from the beautiful Wander Anchor Bay seaside vacation rental, while providing a level of technology to satisfy the needs of any digital nomad. The Wander Anchor Bay smart house is perched right on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by forests and breathtaking views of the coast. Wander Anchor Bay is optimally located near the alluring little village of Anchor Bay, which is situated directly on the coast in Mendocino County, 3.5 miles northwest of Gualala. The beautifully-appointed smart home is just a few miles from scenic beaches, hiking trails, and parks filled with so many things to do. No matter where you look, you’ll be met with the most spectacular views, from the inviting waves breaking on the rocky shore below to enchanting sunsets and ancient forests of trees so tall they seem to disappear into the sky. The home is surrounded by wildlife, and you could see and hear anything from herons to elephant seals during your stay.

The digital nomad-suited smart home will allow you to experience the magical sounds of the ocean and calls of animals in the forest from the back deck while enjoying high-speed connectivity. The Wander Anchor Bay home is equipped with everything needed to work from home, including 1G WiFi that is accessible everywhere on the entire property, spacious desks with desktop computers, and even microphones. So, if you desire, you could work in the fresh ocean breeze or from anywhere inside the house with the same fast internet connection. Like all Wander homes, everything in the home, including lights and temperature, can be controlled with the Wander app.

Up to six guests can live comfortably in the Wonder Anchor Bay house. And the fun doesn’t end in the house. Enjoy a relaxing outdoor sauna or the jacuzzi. Work out in a well-equipped home gym. Or, hang out with friends on the large back deck with beautiful views and a modern fire feature. There are other spaces to work or just hang out and relax all around the property, including walking trails along the cliffs, a hammock nestled between the trees, and a spacious bed located right on the cliff with stunning views of rock formations and seals. There is even a desk and chair if you want to do your work with a truly unique view.

All of these amenities make it the perfect space for a digital nomad and allow for the ability to easily work from home while also being within striking distance of everything the Northern California coast has to offer.

When you’re not working from home, Wander Anchor Bay’s location is close to many places to explore. Salt Point State Park Beach is only 15 minutes from the home, and is the best of both worlds: the woods and the beach. There are beautiful coves, including Gerstle Cove, on the beach to eat or relax, with things like tidepools to explore. There are also many hiking trails through the dreamlike redwood trees. There are a variety of landscapes to enjoy, depending on what you’re looking to experience. Sitting off one of the hiking trails, only about 10 minutes from the Wander Anchor Bay home, is the Sea Ranch Chapel, a peaceful meditation and prayer space that looks like it came straight out of the Lord of the Rings. Enjoy lunch or dinner after a long day of spending time outside at the Surf Market BBQ, a local food truck that offers mouthwatering BBQ such as ribs and chicken.

Bowling Ball Beach is an additional beach to check out, conveniently located 10 minutes from Wander Anchor Bay. Bowling Ball Beach, located just off Schooner Gulch State Beach, is named after rocks that resemble bowling balls that line the beach, just make sure to go at low tide to view them. There are caves to check out and waves that are perfect for surfing, and the beach has gorgeous views of cliffs and the ocean.

Northern California boasts many wineries to explore. Annapolis Winery is a small, family-owned winery located near Anchor Bay, set upon a hill overlooking the redwood forests. There are opportunities for picnicking and wine tasting, and maybe even seeing how they make their wine.

Other things to do near Anchor Bay include kayaking, exploring hidden beaches and coves, visiting wildlife preserves, whale watching, and beach horseback riding, not to mention many local restaurants and shops to check out. Wander Anchor Bay is located near so many places to explore and things to do, while also providing a space that makes it easy and convenient to do any kind of work from home. Life will take you all over, and Wander Anchor Bay makes it easy to keep up with life while also maintaining your adventurous spirit.
