Here’s a quick note as you plan your stay: the home is approximately a 20-minute drive up the mountain, and the nearest shops are about a 35 minute drive, so we recommend picking up any essentials beforehand. Before Using the Thermostats
When air units are on, please keep doors and windows closed so the air units don’t break. If you’d like windows or doors open, turn off the thermostat to prevent the unit from breaking.
Before Using the Community Pool
Important notice for guests: Rinsing off before you go to the shared pool could help us clear the water of impurities for you and your crew. Also, don't forget to shower thoroughly using soap and shampoo after using the pool, in order to wash off any chemical residue. Infants must wear a swim diaper under a bathing suit—regular or loose diapers can come off and cause damage to the drainage system.
Maintenance: The community pool receives weekly maintenance to ensure it remains clean and healthy. This includes chemical balancing (chlorine/bromine and other chemicals), skimming, vacuuming, brushing & filter cleaning as required.
Before Using the Toilet
Please do not flush products other than toilet paper down the toilet (not even 'flushable' items).
- **Safety notice**: Speeding & Safe Driving
The recommended and posted safe driving speed is 25 mph. Passing vehicles and cutting corners on blind curves is not permitted in any area of the community.
Driving conditions can vary greatly throughout the changing elevations of the community. Please remember to cut your lights on in fog.
We do have pedestrian usage of the roads, and we have abundant wildlife that can be unpredictable in their road usage.
Fire Safety
Do not, under any circumstance, leave wood-burning fire pits unattended. If you light a fire, fully extinguish it before you depart. Sand barrels and fire rakes are provided to help safely extinguish any fire and are located at all outdoor fire areas. Never put ashes in a trash can.
Note: At Watson Gap Pavilion, cold ashes should only be disposed of in the provided metal ash bucket.

Please note that ATVs and side-by-sides are not permitted at this property under any circumstances. This rule is strictly enforced for safety and community compliance.
We kindly ask that all guests renting the property ensure they do not bring or operate these vehicles during their stay. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
No Street Parking
As per community guidelines, street parking is not permitted. Please park only in designated areas. There are two (2) parking spaces at this property.
- **No pets**: This is a pet-free hypoallergenic space. No pets are allowed inside the home to maintain a hypoallergenic area as much as possible for our guests’ comfort.
- **No smoking**: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.

This home is situated in a gated community, and check-in hours at the north gate are limited to before 9 PM. Please plan your arrivals and departures accordingly, as entry will not be possible after hours.
To gain access, online registration with the community association is required at least 24 hours prior to your arrival. Please plan your estimated time of arrival (ETA) accordingly.
No Alcoholic Beverages
North Carolina and Blue Ridge Mountain Club laws prohibit bringing your own alcoholic beverages to the following community common areas: Lookout Grill, Jasper House, Watson Gap Pavilion, Meadow's pool area and associated lawns, and the firepit gardens
The exception to this is bringing wine to the Lookout Grill or Jasper House, in which case, there is a nominal corkage fee.
Alcohol is available for purchase at the facilities.
