- **Pest control**: <p>We regularly perform pest control and take extra measures to prevent critters from entering our homes. Please keep doors and windows closed to keep them out.</p>
- **Wildlife warning**: <p>The desert is home to a variety of creatures, including lizards, rattlesnakes, coyotes, mountain lions, beetles, mice, and other wildlife. Use caution and do not touch or approach any animals. Avoid leaving food outside, including residue in grills or fire pits, secure all garbage, and keep doors and windows closed to prevent wildlife from entering the home.<br><br>The property is surrounded by cacti, including cholla, and small thorns may be present in the yard. Please avoid walking barefoot and wear appropriate footwear outdoors.</p>
- **Safety notice**: <p><strong>Landscaping Rock</strong><br>Please avoid climbing or walking on the decorative lava rock surrounding the property. These rocks can be hot, sharp, and unstable.</p>
- **Pool heating**: <p>The pool is available from May to October, and the cost varies by season and propane pricing. Please contact the Concierge team at least 72 hours before arrival if you would like to inquire about the cost of heating during your stay.</p>
- **Wildfire warning**: <p>Due to dry weather, San Bernardino usually implements a burn ban in drought seasons, for example, from around March to May. Please remain FIRE AWARE, as gusty winds and extremely dry conditions pose a heightened risk. When an active burn ban is in place, refrain from any outdoor burning until conditions improve with anticipated rain.</p>

Also, don't forget to shower thoroughly using soap and shampoo after using the hot tub and pool, in order to wash off any chemical residue. Infants must wear a swim diaper under a bathing suit — regular or loose diapers can come off and cause damage to the drainage system.<br><br>Maintenance: The pool and hot tub at this location receive regular maintenance to ensure they remain clean and healthy. This includes chemical balancing (chlorine/bromine and other chemicals), skimming, vacuuming, and tub brushing &amp; filter cleaning as required.<br><br><strong>Before Using the Thermostats</strong><br>When air units are on, please keep doors and windows closed so the air units don’t break. If you’d like windows or doors open, turn off the thermostat to prevent the unit from breaking. Do not set the AC units below 70°F, as this can freeze the coil and stop cooling.<br><br><strong>Before Using the Shades</strong><br>It is important to only use the remotes or wall switches to operate the shades, as pulling on them can cause damage. Please drop the shades each time you leave the property, as the sun is strong and this helps keep the home cool. Make sure the front door shade has fully raised before opening the door, and keep all items clear of the shade path to avoid damage. If you experience any issues, please contact Concierge.<br><br><strong>Before Using the Curtains</strong><br>Please avoid closing the living room and kitchen curtains by pulling on the fabric. Use the tension lines in the center of the room to open and close them, and handle them gently to prevent damage.<br><br><strong>Before Using the Toilets</strong><br>Please do not flush products other than toilet paper down the toilet (not even 'flushable' items).<br><br><strong>Vintage Furnishings</strong><br>Please note that the home features unique and vintage furniture and décor. If anything is accidentally damaged during your stay, please let us know so we can address it promptly. We appreciate your honesty and care while enjoying the space.</p>

This can include landscaping, propane delivery, routine maintenance, trash removal, repairs, or general inspections of the premises.
