Beach Access
While Wander Michigan Shores has a private dock with stairs down to the water, there is no private beach access.

Landscaping
A landscaping contractor will work on the exterior areas of the property every Monday morning. Rest assured, they will not disturb your group.

Swimming Safety & Advisory
Lake Michigan can experience strong waves and powerful currents, which may create hazardous swimming conditions near the home. There are no lifeguards or safety patrols in this area, and anyone entering the lake does so at their own risk.

The South Haven Public Beach safety report provides live updates on conditions at the lake, so be sure to check it before entering the water.

For safety, always supervise children near the water, and use life jackets when swimming.

Fires

Fires must never be left unattended and must be fully extinguished with water after use. Fires are permitted only in designated fire pits or fireplaces and are not allowed on windy days or during drought conditions.

Firearms & Fireworks

The use of firearms and fireworks is strictly prohibited in and around the property at any time.

Trespassing

Please do not trespass onto neighboring properties.

Outdoor Lighting

Outside lighting must remain turned off between 10 PM and 8 AM.

- **Noise**:

Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. We kindly ask that you refrain from hosting parties or creating excessive noise during your stay, as we strive to maintain a peaceful environment for both our guests and neighbors. Amplified outdoor sounds are strictly prohibited.

- **Trails**:

We strongly recommend arriving in an all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle, as gravel roads leading to the property are steep and bumpy. Ensuring your vehicle is equipped and driving carefully will help make your arrival as smooth and safe as possible.

For safety, when your tires begin to spin on the gravel, stop, then accelerate slowly rather than pressing harder on the gas. Please note that the speed limit on all roads is 15 MPH.

Deck & Private Staircase
Please use only the middle deck in front of the house for your personal items. The other decks and staircases belong to the neighbors and are not for guest use.

Yard
Kindly avoid going beyond the yard area that is directly adjacent to the property, as neighboring yards are private.

Before Using the Pool
Important notice for guests: Rinsing off before you go to the pool could help us clear the water of impurities for you and your crew. Also, don't forget to dry off completely at the side sand room after using the pool, then shower thoroughly using soap and shampoo, in order to wash off any chemical residue.

Pool maintenance: We regularly service the pool's water on Thursdays to ensure it remains clean and healthy. This includes chemical balancing (chlorine/bromine and other chemicals), skimming, vacuuming, and tub brushing & filter cleaning as required.

Important: Pool cover must be closed whenever the pool is not in use and with the pool pump placed on top every time. For more information on their operation, check out our house manual for the pool.

Windows
Due to the amount of sand blown up from the lake, we ask that you keep the windows and doors closed during your stay. This reduces the amount of sand inside the house. Thank you for your cooperation with this request!

Before Using Outdoor Lighting

Please note that outside lighting must remain turned off between 10 PM and 8 AM.

Hiking Trails

Information on local hiking trails can be found online through AllTrails and other trail apps.

- **Wildlife warning**:

Please be aware that wildlife populations including bears are high in the area. We kindly remind families to keep a close eye on children, avoid leaving food outside (including residue in the grill and fire), secure all garbage, and keep doors and windows closed. Please do not feed or engage bears.

- **Pool**:

The pool is open from mid-April to mid-October. Please note that the heater is on a timer from 10 AM to 6 PM. You may reach out to the Concierge to confirm if this will be available for your booking dates.

When open, the pool is serviced on Thursdays or Fridays. The spa technician will not access the home interior to maintain your privacy.
