Can I ship some gear to the house before my stay? Absolutely! However, please note that deliveries are at your own discretion; Wander will not be held liable for lost, stolen, or tampered items or packages.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that delivery will fall during your stay dates in order to prevent disturbing the guests at the house before and after your trip. Should your package arrive on a day that doesn’t fall during your trip, a $50 fee will be charged for our runner's fee.

To predict the times of high and low tides, download an app called “Tide Graph” and look up Cape Charles harbor. The home is only two miles away from Cape Charles, so the times are just minutes off.
- **Pest control**:Due to the coastal environment in Cape Charles, fruit flies can occasionally appear, especially during warmer months. We perform regular pest control and take extra measures to prevent critters from entering the home.

Cape Charles is a beautifully remote and peaceful destination, which is part of its charm. Please keep in mind that the nearest grocery store or major shop is about 40 minutes away. We recommend planning ahead and stocking up on any essentials before arriving to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Stair Access
This home contains features that may be difficult for mobility-challenged guests, including climbing stairs to navigate the property.
Before Using the Hot Tub
Important notice for guests: Rinsing off before you go to the hot tub could help us clear the water of impurities for you and your crew. Also, don't forget to shower thoroughly using soap and shampoo after using the hot tub, in order to wash off any chemical residue.
Hot tub maintenance: We regularly service the hot tub's water between guests' turnovers to ensure it remains clean and healthy. This includes chemical balancing (chlorine/bromine and other chemicals), skimming, vacuuming, and tub brushing & filter cleaning as required.
Before Using the Thermostat
When air units are on, please keep doors and windows closed so the air units don’t break. If you’d like windows or doors open, turn off the thermostat to prevent the unit from breaking.
Secondary Refrigerator
The left side door of the refrigerator is currently undergoing maintenance, but the right side door is working. You may use the replacement fridge beside the pantry.
Doors in Winter
In the winter, please only use the solid wood entrance doors and treat the sliding doors like windows.
Garbage Disposal
Please do not put oil down the garbage disposal.
Concrete Counters
Please do not leave anything acidic on the concrete counters, it will etch and leave white spots.
Allergy Precautions
Please note that during late March to early April, there is typically a high amount of pollen around the property due to the season. If you or anyone in your group has allergies, we recommend taking appropriate precautions.

We perform regular pest control and take extra measures to prevent critters from entering the home. Please help minimize their presence by keeping doors closed and avoiding leaving food or fruit uncovered.

Pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, or spa facilities. Please wipe pets paws before entering the house.
