In 19 miles, turn left onto Pioneertown Road. In 7.5 miles, turn right onto Pipes Canyon Road. Drive approximately 2.4 miles, then turn left at Gamma Gulch Road (dirt road with a wooden road sign). In about 1.6 miles, once you’re on Gamma Gulch Road, keep going straight. Gamma Gulch Road will narrow, and you will see a “Keep Right” and “Private Property" signs, as the road splits into two over a steep rise. You will pass signs for cozy cabin and Gamma Gulch Retreat on your left. Keep going straight. Take hard left at end of Gamma Gulch, marked by a telephone pole in front of you and a large Post with various address signs. There is poor cell coverage in the high desert. We recommend taking note of the directions to the home, WiFi password, and access codes beforehand. Cell network strength can vary by topology, time of day, weather, and whether you’re located inside or outside of a vehicle or house. The desert is home to a variety of amazing creatures, including coyotes, insects, mice, snakes, and other wildlife. It is incredible for those who love to nature-watch from afar, but may not be for everyone. Use caution and do not touch wildlife. Avoid leaving food outside (including residue in grills or fires), secure all garbage, and keep doors and windows closed. 

- **Noise**:

Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM. We kindly ask that you refrain from hosting parties or creating excessive noise during your stay, as we strive to maintain a peaceful environment for both our guests and neighbors. Amplified outdoor sounds are strictly prohibited.

- **Privacy**:

During your stay, staff may occasionally access the property for scheduled landscaping, routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs, inspections, and pool or hot tub servicing.

Please expect pool maintenance to be on the property on Fridays to clean, inspect and service the hot tub or pool. They will not approach the house, just check on your water amenity.

- **Accessibility**:

This Wander is a single-level home, but climbing some steps is required to reach certain amenities, such as the fire pit and outdoor deck.

- **Occupancy notice**:

This home follows a strict maximum occupancy rule. Please make sure that the total number of guests accompanying you (including both children and adults) doesn’t exceed the indicated maximum occupancy above to avoid cancellation of your stay and additional fees.

- **Amenity notice**:

Before Using the Pool & Hot Tub
Important notice for guests: Rinsing off before you go to the pool and hot tub could help us clear the water of impurities for you and your crew. Also, don't forget to shower thoroughly using soap and shampoo after using the pool and hot tub, in order to wash off any chemical residue.

Maintenance: The pool and hot tub at this location receive weekly maintenance to ensure they remain clean and healthy. This includes chemical balancing (chlorine/bromine and other chemicals), skimming, vacuuming, and tub brushing & filter cleaning as required.

Safety: There is no lifeguard on duty, so kindly refrain from jumping, diving, running or rough play near the pool and hot tub area, and supervise children and non-swimmers at all times. For safety, do not use glass anywhere near the pool and hot tub. Plastic cups are provided in the kitchen for use outdoors.

Before Using the Thermostats
When air units are on, please keep doors and windows closed so the air units don’t break. If you’d like windows or doors open, turn off the thermostat to prevent the unit from breaking.

Before Using the Fire Pit & Fireplace

Propane fire pits and fireplaces are designed exclusively for use with propane fuel. Burning wood or any other materials is strictly prohibited, in accordance with county regulations and to protect the integrity of these custom fixtures. If any combustible materials are used, a minimum fee of $500 will apply.

- **Trails**:

Although the house is located on a dirt road, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is not required. Drive slowly and watch out for ruts on the road, especially after rain.

- **Pool heating**:

The pool is open for heating at no cost from May to September. It can be heated at an additional fee of $200 per night on October and April, and $300 per night on November, December, and March. Please note that the pool cannot be heated on January and February.

Please contact the Concierge team at least 72 hours before your arrival if you would like the pool heated during your stay. The heater may only be powered on once during your trip, and the maximum temperature would be around 85 °F.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.

Unauthorized commercial photography or filming is not permitted.

Prohibited Items

Firearms, wax candles, and drones are not allowed on the property to respect neighbors and the fragile nature of the desert ecosystem.

Power Outages

Due to the rural nature of the High Desert, occasional power outages may occur. You will promptly be informed of any planned service interruptions. Please note that refunds or discounts will not be issued for unplanned power outages.

Check-In & Checkout Policy

Guest access begins at 4 PM on check-in day and ends at 11 AM on check-out day, unless approved in writing in advance. Check-in after 9 PM is not allowed without prior approval. Unauthorized early arrivals or late check-outs will incur a fee of 50% of the nightly rate.

Maximum Occupancy
The number of people on the property may not exceed the number of guests in your reservation confirmation plus two (regardless of whether they are staying the night or just visiting). Additional guest fees starting at $65 per person per night will apply for any unauthorized persons.

Recreational Vehicles & Accommodation

Recreational vehicles, motorcycles, camping, or other overnight accommodations outside the property are not allowed. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the reservation with no refund.

Trespassing

Feel free to take walks around the property. However, please be mindful not to enter neighboring yards or private areas, as this would be considered trespassing.

- **Pets allowed**:

This is a dog-friendly home, with a maximum of two dogs permitted. Cats are not allowed. Keep a very close watch on your pets outside, and don't forget to clean up their waste. Pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, or spa facilities.

Unless the backyard is fully fenced, dogs must remain on a leash at all times. This is both for their safety—protecting them from cacti, coyotes, and other hazards—and to prevent them from wandering into neighboring properties.
