Lockerly Arboretum spans 50 acres with picturesque gardens, walking trails, and a pond. The one-mile nature trail offers a scenic journey through wildflowers, camellias, azaleas, and various trees, leading to the centerpiece, Rose Hill, a Greek Revival-style home built in 1852. Established by Edward Grassman in 1965, the arboretum prioritizes experiential horticulture, and the Woods Museum along the trail loop features reptile exhibits, a cross-cut slab of a 300-year-old Bald Cypress, and a comprehensive display of 13 hardwood trees, including Reggie the American Alligator and Teedo the Ball Python.
