Wander welcomes the team behind Maple to help build the ‘Shopify of travel’

We're excited to share an important milestone in Wander's journey.

Today, Wander is welcoming the team behind Maple, the family organization app founded by former Shopify executives Michael Perry and Mike Taylor. By bringing on the team who helped build and scale Shopify's platform during its formative years, we're taking another major step toward our vision of building "the Shopify of travel."

Building the operating system for travel

Why the Maple team?

Michael Perry, Mike Taylor and the rest of the Maple team know what it takes to build category-defining platforms.

Before founding Maple, they created Kit, a marketing automation platform for small businesses that was acquired by Shopify in 2016. They later spent years helping scale Shopify's platform before launching Maple, where they applied the same product philosophy to simplify family organization through thoughtful software.

Now, they're bringing that experience to Wander.

Their deep expertise in building products that serve millions of customers will help accelerate the next chapter of Wander as we continue building both the operating system and curated marketplace for the travel category.
