There's a certain kind of magic to this corner of Ketchum—tucked just off the Wood River, quiet enough that you'll hear the wind in the aspens, but close enough to downtown that you could wander in for dinner without checking the clock. Welcome to the Townhomes at River Run, and more specifically, welcome to your new favorite home base for just about everything Sun Valley has to offer.
This three-level, three-bedroom spot has the kind of layout that makes it easy for everyone to have their space and still come together for the good stuff—meals, movies, morning coffee, and post-ski hot tub hangs. When you arrive, head in through the garage or front door and drop your gear in the mudroom. It's built for it—plenty of hooks, storage, and even a washer and dryer for mid-trip cleanups. Out back? A private hot tub that sits just off the bike path, perfect for a soak after skiing or a moonlit dip in the quiet mountain air.
The first bedroom lives down here too—complete with two twin XL bunk beds (four beds total), a walk-in closet, and a full bath next door. It's a cozy little zone that's ideal for kids, friends, or anyone who likes being close to the hot tub.
Up one level is the heart of the home. The open-concept living area has everything you need to cook, dine, and unwind. The kitchen's fully stocked—bring your recipes or grab takeout from Rickshaw or Grumpy's and make it fancy with wine glasses and candlelight. There's seating for six at the dining table and bar stools for three more at the island. The living room has big comfy couches, a stone fireplace, and a smart TV for movie nights or watching the snow fall. There are two separate balconies on this level—one looking out over the peaceful Wood River Trail and the other giving you peek-a-boo views of Baldy. Morning coffee, evening wine, or just a quick breath of fresh air—you'll use them more than you think.
The top floor is all about recharging. One staircase leads you to the primary suite, which feels a little like checking into your own boutique hotel. Vaulted ceilings, a California king bed, your own fireplace, accommodating en suite bathroom—and best of all, space to spread out. Next door, the third bedroom is another mini-retreat with a queen bed, an extra twin, smart TV, and its own bathroom. Great for a couple traveling with a little one, or someone who just likes a little extra elbow room.
And location? Let's just say you'll be the one in the group who always suggests walking. It's a 12-minute walk to the ski lifts in winter (8 in the summer), five minute bike ride to River Run via the bike path, and about 15 to downtown Ketchum if you're strolling at a vacation pace. Coffee at Maude's? Dinner at The Pioneer? Ice cream at Leroy's? All easy. Don't feel like walking? The free Mountain Rides shuttle picks up just down the street. Or pull out of your own garage and take your car 3 minutes to downtown or 7 minutes to Sun Valley Resort.
This place is a perfect home base for your Sun Valley adventures. It's comfortable, it's functional, it's got a hot tub and a fireplace—and the location really can't be beat. Whether you're here for snowy adventures or sun-drenched singletrack, this townhome makes coming home the best part of the day.
