About the property

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place.
Just minutes from SeaTac Airport, Blue Heron Guest House is a serene lakeside studio perfect for a peaceful midwinter getaway.
Tucked behind lush greenery on the shores of Angle Lake, this private retreat features a plush king bed, a spa style bath with a deep soaking tub, a kitchenette, in unit laundry, and a garden courtyard.
Enjoy quiet winter mornings surrounded by trees and birds, while staying close to transit, I-5, and the city.

Just minutes from SeaTac Airport and I-5 but worlds away from the noise and rush, you’ll find the Blue Heron Guest House & Cottage, tucked behind walls of lush greenery in a hidden lakeside community. Down a long, winding, tree-lined driveway and nestled on the shores of Angel Lake, this peaceful retreat offers quiet, privacy, and a rare connection to nature.

The property sits on just over one acre of land, offering space, stillness, and a natural buffer from the world outside. This private studio guest house faces the garden side of the home and shares a single wall with the main house, yet remains fully independent with its own entrance and courtyard. From the front garden to the wooded edges and the lakeside, you’re surrounded by greenery, birdsong, and breeze.

Step inside and the light-filled studio welcomes you with a sense of calm, warm wood tone floors, and thoughtful design. The king-sized bed is layered in soft, cozy linens, and a lounge area with a smart TV invites you to unwind. A desk and chair provide a space separate from the sleeping area for remote work.

The five-piece bathroom is your personal spa retreat. A deep soaking tub takes center stage, perfect for a long, quiet soak after travel or adventure. With a walk-in shower and double vanities, there’s plenty of room to slow down and settle in.

Enjoy meals at the dining table for four or step outside to your private courtyard and greenhouse garden for fresh air and morning coffee. The kitchenette includes everything you need for simple meals: a two-burner induction cooktop, toaster oven, microwave, and full-sized fridge.

You’ll also have access to your own washer and dryer, making longer visits feel effortless and self-contained.

While the home sits right along Angel Lake, access to the lakeside area is limited to scheduled hours by appointment only, as it fronts the main cottage which is separately occupied. Dock use is not permitted.

Guests enjoy one designated parking spot on the property, and despite the tucked-away feel, you're just five minutes from SeaTac Airport, I-5, and the Link light rail. It’s a rare balance, close to the city, yet completely removed from it.

At the Blue Heron Guest House, time stretches a little longer, the air feels a little softer, and each day begins and ends with the gentle hush of lake and trees.

You’ll have private access to your studio guest house, including a separate entrance and your own garden courtyard, creating a quiet and comfortable space to settle in and unwind.

Inside, the entire studio is yours to enjoy, including the sleeping area, lounge space, kitchenette, spa-style bathroom, and in-unit laundry. The layout is designed to feel both open and cozy, with everything you need for a restful stay.

The guest house shares one wall with the main home but remains fully independent, offering both privacy and a sense of retreat.

You’ll have one designated parking space on the property for easy access.

While the home sits along Angle Lake, lakeside access is limited to scheduled hours by appointment, as it is located in front of the main cottage. Dock use is not permitted.

You may notice other areas of the property, including the main home or surrounding grounds, that are not part of the guest space. These are reserved for owners and property use.
