Balsam Fir House at FarAway Pond

Our weekend at Mary Boone's was fantastic. The pictures do not do the lake justice and the occasional trout rising to sip a fly was the icing on the cake. It was peaceful and quite, just what we needed. We love to hike, the local trails at the nearby forest were perfect for us and our dog. Reading by the lake with a fire going in the background with a glass of wine was heaven! We will be back!

What a delightful stay! We booked a gals night away for a birthday celebration, and couldn't have been more happy. After a delicious meal @ Schillings, we soaked in the hot tub and steamed in the sauna while sipping on some wine and star gazing. Only to wake up to beautiful scenic views, cappuccinos and a sunrise soak. It was just what these gals needed! The grounds are beautifully kept and a friendly playground to our 2 pups that came along, too. We ended our stay with a lovely little hike up a moss covered fairy-like Gold Mine Trail that is located around the bend from the cabin site. It may have been a short visit, but it was spectacularly sweet. Thank you again, for a magical stay!

Wow!!! After my stay at Fir I felt so relaxed it was just the getaway I needed. Although at first glance it was a little closer to other houses than I would have liked, that all melted away when I went inside. The whole space is luxury. It feels like a 5 star hotel room in the forest. I was there on a rainy day and just lay in bed, emersed in the forest listening to rain. I took a wonderful soak in the hot tub. It was truly a magical stay and Mary is a fantastic host. I work up here and have stayed in over 30 local air bnbs and I rank it number 1 so far.
