About the property

Kick back at this beachfront 3BR/2BA spot in a quiet part of Crystal Beach. It’s just steps from the sand with awesome ocean views. You’ve got two king bedrooms and a bunk room with twin-over-queen bunks. Big deck, full kitchen, and nothing but beach between you and the water. Super chill, plenty of space, great for families or groups.

Inside the house, there are three bedrooms. Two of them have king beds, and the third has two twin over queen bunks. Each room has its own TV, so everyone can kick back and relax. The living room is spacious and open, with plenty of seating for everyone. The full kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and hang out together. Outside, there’s a large front deck with a clear view of the beach. No roads or buildings in the way, just sand and waves. Downstairs, guests can use the covered patio area, which includes an outdoor shower, a grill, and a dining space. All indoor and outdoor areas are available to guests during their stay.

Guests have full access to the entire house except for one designated closet for supplies (has a lock on it)f, so make yourself at home. You’re welcome to use all the indoor spaces, the big deck out front with beach views, and the downstairs patio area. The patio has a grill, outdoor dining space, and an outdoor shower that’s perfect for rinsing off after the beach. Everything you see is yours to enjoy during your stay.

If you need anything during your stay, feel free to reach out through the Airbnb app or give me a call or text. I’m always happy to help.

Gilchrist is a laid-back, seaside community snuggled on the Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston County. It’s all about chilled-out beach vibes, wide-open shorelines, and classic Gulf Coast charm .
The neighborhood is pretty close-knit, mixing year-round residents with seasonal visitors looking for that quieter alternative to the busier beach towns .

The beach here features soft white sand, easy access off Highway 87, and unobstructed ocean views—great for long walks, early-morning coffee by the water, or watching the sun set.
While there are some local eateries, bars, and marinas nearby (Crystal Beach is just a short drive), Gilchrist has a low‑key, more residential feel—no crowds, no big resort scene—just simple, charming coastal living.
Named after engineer Gibb Gilchrist, the area also has a neat history tied to the old Rollover Pass fishing hotspot—though that pass is now sealed, the community’s ties to fishing and beach life remain strong.
Expect a small-town, peaceful getaway with easy beach access, lots of nature, and a friendly, laid-back neighborhood feel perfect for unplugging and enjoying the coast.

Here are the best ways to get around in and around the neighborhood:
🚗 Car
Since Gilchrist is a small, spread-out area along Highway 87, having a car is the easiest and most convenient way to explore. You can drive to nearby spots like Crystal Beach, marinas, local shops, and restaurants. Plus, for anyone crossing from Galveston Island, the Galveston–Port Bolivar Ferry is free and runs 24/7—it’s about an 18-minute ride
⛳ Golf Cart
Golf carts are super popular around here and allowed on most roads and beaches (Excepet on Highway 87). Park them, cruise the beach, or ride over to a neighbor’s. Rentals are easy with places like West Canal Beach Buggies and Golf Car Connection delivering right to you.

Please note: A security deposit pre authorization of $300 is required. You’ll receive a secure guest portal link after booking to enter your card info. The pre-authorization is placed 3 days before check-in and released 4 days after check-out, as long as there’s no damage.

Please make sure to read and understand the house rules at the start of your stay.

The Bleu Pearl was perfect for us! Clean, comfortable beds, and right on the Beach! Furniture looks new and is comfy. Cook and dinnerware well stocked. Great views and very peaceful. Neighbors were quiet but friendly. We set up our shade tent on the beach and left it overnight without any problems. Nate gave clear instructions, directions, and is quick to respond.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! This place was right on the beach, beautiful home, spacious and very comfortable. Deck view of the ocean was exactly what we hoped for! Host was very responsive before and during our stay. You won’t regret staying here!

This week

We loved the house! The location was great. It was on the side of the beach that has a ton of shells. Walked right on to the beach. Only bad thing was charging $50 to check in 2hrs early/late, that was a first time we had experienced that on airbnb. Although Nate did tell us essentials were just to get us through a day or so, I was surprised that there was only one trash bag. If you don't mind packing these things it's no big deal just make sure you do pack them!
