Sherman Heights is a historic neighborhood just east of downtown, about a 10-minute walk from Chicano Park and in the early stages of revitalization. Boho Bungalow is private and gated, but the surrounding streets feel more lived-in than the home itself. Given the downtown location, you may see people experiencing homelessness and hear traffic. As a mom, I'd never host families somewhere I wouldn't bring my own kids.

PARTY POLICY
We strictly prohibit large-scale gatherings; however, we do welcome small, tasteful events such as bachelorette celebrations and family BBQs. Guest count must not exceed the maximum occupancy of 12, quiet hours must be observed, and the number of overnight guests should not exceed those listed in your reservation. Guests are expected to treat the property with care and respect neighbors at all times. Quiet hours: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

PET POLICY
We know vacation isn’t the same without your best friend. Boho Bungalow welcomes well-behaved dogs.
✸ Up to 2 dogs per stay
✸ $150 pet fee
✸ Keep pups off beds and furniture, and pick up after them in the yard
✸ Dogs shouldn’t be left alone in the home unless crated

The pet fee helps our cleaning team give every guest, with or without pets, the spotless stay we’re known for.

EARLY CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT
We’re happy to accommodate an additional half-day stay at the beginning or end of your reservation, based on availability. Fees vary depending on demand, so please reach out in advance for a custom quote.

RENTAL AGREEMENT/HOUSE RULES
All guests sign a short rental agreement after booking. Its key terms are an acknowledgment of our house rules:
✸ Max 12 people at the home at any time, including visitors. Small celebrations of 12 or fewer are welcome; larger parties, promoted events, and commercial shoots are not.
✸ Quiet hours 10 PM to 8 AM.
✸ No smoking, vaping, or fireworks anywhere on the property.
✸ Dogs by approval only: $150 per stay, max 2. Unregistered pets: $500 fee plus cleaning costs.
✸ Hot tub: no children under 5; adults supervise kids under 14. Repair or cleaning costs from misuse are charged at actual cost.
✸ Late checkout without approval: $50 per hour.
✸ Guests are responsible for damage or extra cleaning caused by their group.
✸ Serious violations (over 12 people, parties, smoking, fireworks) may end the stay without a refund for unused nights.
✸ If a dispute ever arises (we hope it never does), it goes to mediation first, then binding arbitration in San Diego County. This waives jury trials and class actions. Small claims court is also available.
If you'd prefer not to sign after booking, you may cancel for a full refund within 48 hours of receiving the agreement.

SAFETY ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Guests acknowledge that staying at the property involves ordinary risks associated with residential use, including but not limited to stairs, outdoor areas, weather conditions, and household amenities. Guests agree to use the property and its amenities responsibly and in accordance with posted instructions and these House Rules.

✸ To help ensure a peaceful experience for everyone, we have security cameras located at the front of the house (one at the doorbell and one above the driveway pointed at the gate). We also use a privacy-compliant NoiseAware sensor that tracks volume levels without recording any audio.

✸ Our house rules keep the home special for every group that stays here, and we ask that all guests follow them. Stays that don’t may be ended early. We’re here for you before, during, and after your visit, so reach out anytime.
