Set on a sandy shoreline, this uniquely flat lakefront property offers easy access and year-round enjoyment. The elegant yet comfortable 1,500 sq. ft. home features two bedrooms, an open-concept kitchen and living room, a dining table for six, a modern shower, laundry, and plenty of space to relax.
The larger east bedroom includes a king bed, while the smaller west bedroom has two twin beds. The living room offers a large sectional couch, perfect for gathering after a day on the lake or trails. The bathroom and laundry room are conveniently located just off the kitchen.
We provide all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including basic kitchen supplies, linens, extra blankets and pillows, towels, and basic toiletries.
You will fall in love with the landscaping, docks, beach, outdoor patio, and fire pit. There is a six-person picnic table, grill, and several Adirondack chairs outside for your enjoyment. The lake is clear and shallow, even quite a distance from shore. We also provide a kayak, canoe, and paddleboard to make your outdoor experience something truly special. We will leave you a list of our favorite local spots to visit on the lake, as well as a map to the snowmobile trail.
The property faces north and overlooks the lake. When conditions are right, it is not uncommon to see northern lights. This was a year-round private residence, so it well maintained and comfortable.

You’ll have access to the entire property, including 250 feet of lakeshore and two private acres to enjoy. The driveway is private, and the neighbors are set a comfortable distance away, giving the property a peaceful, secluded feel in its quiet bay.
Please note that Ely can receive significant snowfall in the winter. We arrange for snowplowing each morning as needed, but the road and driveway may be challenging for small front-wheel-drive vehicles during or immediately after a heavy snowstorm. All-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended for winter stays and should have no issues in typical conditions.

We live very close to the property, on the opposite side of the bay. If you are in need, we will be happy to assist. Generally, we like to keep our contact low so you can enjoy your vacation.

This is private neighborhood with very kind and helpful neighbors. We do ask guests to be mindful of our neighbors by keeping their noise levels and activities respectful.
You can park several vehicles on site. You are 10 minutes from the Ely DQ. You will take 88 to the Echo Trail to Somero Road. Somero Road is the next left after Bass Lake Trail. If you are in need of a boat rental, let us know, we can provide referrals.
We provide good internet for this remote lakefront location, making it possible to work, stream, and stay connected during your stay. The home also includes a Smart TV for your entertainment. Cell service is generally available, though it may vary depending on your provider. If needed, Ely also offers several coffee shops and a coworking space in town.
To rent boats or pontoons on Burntside: Lake View Lodge, they will deliver to public boat launch on the lake. Call in advance.
While we have a fire pit, we do not provide firewood. DNR approved firewood can be purchased locally at many of the gas stations in town. The DNR prohibits transportation of firewood from outside of the Ely area in attempts to slow the spread of invasive species.
