Hosted by Coastal Stay, welcome to Camp Haven Retreat—a unique group getaway for up to 26 guests, featuring three neighboring homes in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Together, Heron House, Sandpiper Cottage, and Mallard Cabin offer 12 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, 3 half bathrooms, four fully equipped kitchens, and several indoor and outdoor gathering spaces!
This setup is ideal for family reunions, multi-generational vacations, and groups who want to stay close while still enjoying the space and privacy of separate homes.
Heron House (5 bedrooms) and Sandpiper Cottage (4 bedrooms) sit along Little Glen Lake, while Mallard Cabin (3 bedrooms) is tucked among the trees in the second row. Your group can enjoy 100 feet of sandy waterfront, a swimming area, kayaks, and a paddleboat. The Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail is directly across the road, and Glen Arbor, Empire, beaches, hiking trails, wineries, restaurants, and shops are just a short drive away.
Please Note: Quiet hours begin at 10pm, and no unauthorized parties are allowed to ensure a peaceful neighborhood setting.
Separate homes: Your booking includes three neighboring, individually accessed homes. You will need to walk outdoors when moving between them.
Coming Spring 2027: An additional waterfront cabin is being renovated and will join Camp Haven, expanding the retreat to four homes with a total of 13 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, and 3 half bathrooms.

☆☆ OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE ☆☆
Heron House and Sandpiper Cottage provide access to 100 feet of sandy Little Glen Lake waterfront, a swimming area, kayaks, and a paddleboat. Your group will also have several patios, lake-facing balconies, grills, outdoor seating and dining areas, a fire pit, outdoor showers, and a peaceful screened-in porch.
Mallard Cabin is located in the second row and is not waterfront. However, guests booking the combined Camp Haven property can enjoy the waterfront through Heron House and Sandpiper Cottage.
☆☆ FAMILY AMENITIES ☆☆
Fresh linens, pillows, blankets, and towels are provided. The homes also offer Pack ’n Plays, high chairs, books, board games, and toys for families traveling with children. Starter toiletries and household essentials are supplied for arrival. There is also a washer and dryer only in the two waterfront homes!
☆☆ PARKING ☆☆
Heron House & Sandpiper Cottage: Guests may park in the large gravel parking area behind the two waterfront homes. It can accommodate up to four vehicles. Please park thoughtfully and keep driveways and access paths clear.
Mallard Cabin: The cabin has its own spacious gravel parking area beside the home, with room for multiple vehicles.
☆☆ IMPORTANT TO KNOW ☆☆
• Pet policy: Dogs are permitted only inside Sandpiper Cottage and Mallard Cabin. Heron House (5 bedrooms) must remain completely pet-free. Pet fee is $400 per stay for up to 4 dogs (50 lbs max each). Please notify us in advance so we can prepare pet amenities. While we strive to minimize allergens, guests with sensitivities should be aware. Use provided sofa covers and designated towels for pets. Guests are responsible for any pet-related damage.
• Waterfront location: Heron House and Sandpiper Cottage are located along the lake. Mallard Cabin is a second-row home set back from the water and has partial lake views through the trees.
• Water safety: No lifeguard is present. Children must be supervised around the lake and while using the watercraft.
• Swimmer’s itch: Little Glen Lake may occasionally experience swimmer’s itch during the summer. Waterproof sunscreen before swimming and showering with soap afterward are recommended precautions.
• Older cabin features: Mallard Cabin has original character, including narrower stairs and doorways and limited soundproofing between floors.

We understand that sometimes small accidents happen while traveling. That’s why your booking includes a $750 accidental damage waiver, built directly into your stay.
If something minor gets damaged during your visit, please let us know right away. We’ll take care of it so you can relax and enjoy your trip.

Check-in/out: Early check-ins and late check-outs are available by request, subject to availability, and may incur an additional fee.
Longer stays: Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as the fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee.
