About the property

Rockaway Jakes

Nestled on a semi-secluded double lot just a five-minute walk from the ocean, this newly remodeled home is the perfect getaway. Whether you're looking to enjoy the beach, surf, fish, hang out on the deck or by the firepit, or simply relax on the couch with a good book, this home has it all.

This all-season retreat features a sunny, south-facing yard surrounded by trees, accessible through French doors that open onto a spacious deck with a grill for summer barbecues. During the stormy months of fall and winter, you can stay cozy by the Scandinavian stove or explore nearby hiking trails.

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by an open-plan living and dining area with a thoughtfully designed kitchen, a centerpiece dining table, and a welcoming living area complete with a couch and two easy chairs. Down the hallway, you'll find two roomy bedrooms, each with a queen bed and closets, and a brand-new bathroom with a walk-in shower and natural light. Behind the linen drapes in the hallway is a new washer-dryer, and at the end of the hall, you'll have access to the one-car garage.

Perfect for couples, friends, or families who want to enjoy the proximity to the ocean while yearning for some privacy and peace, this home offers Adirondack chairs to soak up the sun outside and books and games inside. It's close to downtown Rockaway, Wheeler, Nehalem, Garibaldi, and Manzanita where you'll find great dining options, quirky shops, and friendly people if you feel like exploring. Plus there’s a jetty and two marinas close by if you want to go crabbing or pick up the local catch. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, as are families with young children. Don't forget to sign the guest book before you leave!
