Hidden among towering boulder formations on a secluded 2.5-acre hillside, House of Kuna is a private adobe-inspired retreat designed for restorative desert living. Tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Joshua Tree, the home blends organic architecture, expansive outdoor living, and wellness-focused amenities into one immersive high desert escape.
Surrounded by dramatic rock formations and sweeping desert views, the property unfolds through a series of thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces. Lounge on expansive boulder-side decks, gather around the sculptural 270° concrete firepit lounge, soak beneath the stars in the hot tub and outdoor soaking tub, or enjoy sunset dinners beneath the shaded pergola overlooking Yucca Valley. Illuminated pathways wind throughout the property, leading to hidden hammocks and quiet moments tucked into the landscape.
Inside, the home balances warmth, comfort, and design-forward desert style. Adobe-inspired architecture, earthy textures, curated furnishings, and vaulted ceilings create a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere throughout the space. The open-concept living area flows seamlessly into the kitchen and outdoor entertaining spaces, creating an ideal setup for groups, families, and restorative desert getaways alike.
The fully equipped kitchen features modern appliances, ample prep space, and both indoor and outdoor dining areas for gathering over meals with panoramic desert views. A custom teak dining table anchors the outdoor dining experience beneath open skies, while the interior living spaces provide a cozy retreat after a day exploring the desert.
Wellness and restoration are at the heart of the experience at House of Kuna. The converted garage yoga studio includes mirrored walls, a Peloton Bike+, and space for movement, meditation, or private wellness sessions. Outdoors, the soaking tub / spa, outdoor shower, and expansive decks create a private spa-like setting surrounded by ancient boulders and native desert flora.
