Baer's Den has been remodeled top to bottom with love and attention to detail. There is a flight of stairs to the deck, hot tub, and main living space. Underneath the deck, enjoy our shaded hammock chairs on those sunny summer days. Try your hand at smoking on our Traeger smoker/grill.
We are walking distance from the Mt. Esther Trail and a very close drive to many more. Colorado Springs is 15 minutes East, and Woodland Park is less than 15 minutes west. We are so close to many amenities and activities with a feeling of being away from it all! Pike's Peak Highway entrance is only 7 minutes away!
We also have a security camera facing the front door to monitor traffic. It is located outside and will be on during your stay.
If you are interested in an early check in or late checkout, please inquire on the day of your booking. We would need to hire an additional cleaner for $150.
We are now accepting dogs! There will be dog bowls, bathroom bags, and a leash provided for you during your stay. Please be sure to include your pet in your guest list when booking. If not, upon arrival we will be immediately requesting the pet fee.
Please read the following rules for your furry friend:
-- To protect the wildlife in Cascade, we require your dog to be on a leash at all times when outside.
-- You must clean up after your pet outside and inside. If we find any pet poop around or in the property, you will be charged a $250 "pet poop pickup fee."
-- Please do not leave your pet unattended or alone in the house, unless crated.
-- Please do not allow your pet in the hot tub or on our furniture.
-- You are responsible if there is any damage to the property from your pet during your stay.
Pet Fees:
-- One night stay is $75
-- 2-7 night stay is $150
-- 8+ nights is $250
-- If bringing two pets, we do require an additional $50 to the pet fee.
We provide keyless access and you will receive the code two days prior to your stay.
Cascade-Chipita Park is a quaint mountainside town with access to the Pike's Peak Highway, hiking trails, and everything Ute Pass and 24 highway has to offer.
Notes to take into account:
--October-May we can have snow storms. Please be aware you may need 4-wheel drive. Check the weather for Cascade as it can be very different from Colorado Springs.
--Baer's Den is located in a mountain town, with little to no access to Uber or Lyft transportation.
--We are also in a forest fire area, so fire bans may occasionally happen. The timing of this is out of our control. This may mean not being able to use certain fire features or our Traeger grill. We will try to let you know during your stay if there is high fire danger and what cannot be used.
--Baer's Den doesn't have A/C, but at this elevation you rarely need it! It stays much cooler at 7,800 ft and open windows at night keeps it comfortable.
-- Events are welcome! Please inquire for more details before booking.
