Perched 2,800 feet above sea level, The Meadowlark is more than just a home it is a curated retreat where high-end architectural design meets the untamed beauty of the Boise East End Foothills Reserve. Built directly into the hillside, the residence abuts a protected city park dedicated to preserving the open spaces that define Boise's character. Inside, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom interior is a design lover's dream, filled with original artworks and contemporary pieces that create an atmosphere of sophisticated warmth, deeply rooted in the natural surroundings.
The living spaces serve as a tribute to mid-century modern icons. Upon arrival, you'll discover the sunken media room, a cozy enclave featuring a stylish, Danish-designed sofa and a Roku TV for your favorite streaming content. Sliding glass doors lead to an outdoor deck, providing a front-row seat to the valley's changing colors, seasonal fireworks, and brilliant holiday light displays. In the main family room, comfort takes center stage with a custom leather sofa, Eero Saarinen's chair and ottoman, and a Hans Wegner chair. A flickering gas fireplace anchors the room, offering the perfect spot to unwind.
The dining area, featuring a Roland piano and Hans Wegner chairs, is equally inviting. Bathed in natural light from sliding glass doors that look out onto the rising hillside, it is an ideal space for a slow morning coffee or an intimate dinner prepared in the fully stocked kitchen.
Designed with privacy in mind, the home's split-bedroom floor plan is anchored by an expansive primary suite. This retreat boasts a California king bed, a ceiling fan, and a Roku TV with a built-in DVD player. The ensuite bathroom features a double vanity and a stainless-steel walk-in shower complete with a view. For a seamless connection to the outdoors, the suite opens directly onto the balcony through sliding glass doors. Across the home, the East and North guest bedrooms each offer queen-sized beds, ample storage, and easy access to a well-appointed shared bathroom.
While the design is world-class, the true highlight of The Meadowlark is its proximity to the Idaho wilds. The surrounding hillside is a vibrant, living ecosystem; from the windows or the outdoor deck, you may spot deer, elk, foxes, and raptors throughout the year. In the spring and summer, the landscape erupts in a colorful display of jonquils, tulips, and wildflowers. With a double-bay garage for your convenience and nature at your doorstep, The Meadowlark offers a rare chance to experience the best of the Boise foothills, with immediate access to hiking and biking trails and the nearby excitement of downtown Boise.
*Plan to grocery shop: except for one roll of toilet paper per toilet at the top of each stay, we do not supply consumable products (TP, paper towels, soaps, spices, etc.). Consumables left behind by a previous guest may be used or discarded.
*Quiet Hours are between 9pm – 8am.
*There cannot be more than 8 people in or on the property at one time and no more than 6 occupants overnight.
*We do offer late check-out and early check-in, when possible, for a modest additional fee for our cleaners. An unplanned late check out really affects our cleaner's schedule. If you do not arrange a late checkout in advance, there is a $55 fee. If you do not checkout by noon, you will be charged an additional night's stay.
*This is a non-smoking house. $500 smoke mitigation fee will apply if smoking of any variety is found.
*Please remove shoes when entering the home to protect the flooring and reduce dirt intrusion.
*No cats allowed.
*One small, house-trained dog, up to 15 lbs. only, please.
*If you are traveling with a dog, the homeowners request that it be kept in a crate whenever you are away from the home. There is a pet servicing fee of $45/pet. This is a one-time charge that will be requested via the Airbnb resolution center after you have booked. Please remove any dog droppings and dog hair before checking out. If pet hair or waste causes additional cleaning expense the expense will be billed to you. If discovered, any unauthorized pets will need to be immediately removed and a pet mitigation charge of $500 will apply.
*Events or content creation activities of any kind—including baby showers, receptions, birthday parties, photo shoots, filming, and social media/video production—are not permitted. Unauthorized events or productions will result in a minimum $1,500 charge and immediate removal from the property. Additional charges for damage may also apply.
*Outdoor cooking (BBQing) is not permitted due to the elevated wildfire risk in the foothills.
*Fireworks of any kind are strictly prohibited on the property and are illegal in the Boise Foothills.
*Friendly reminder to please use the provided black towel for face make-up. So many of our towels and pillowcases are stained by oil-based make-up and our professional laundry service can't even bust these stains. We appreciate you helping us conserve our linens.
*Sometimes it's hard to know what sound level is too much so we use a noise monitoring device. It won't invade your privacy because it does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it only monitors the ambient noise level (measured in decibels). If it goes off, it gives us a chance to warn you that your sound level is such that it could upset our neighbors.
*There is also a Ring camera system to monitor the outside of the home.
*If a failure to follow the house rules impacts the next guest's stay and causes us to need to discount or refund that next guest you agree to be responsible for the resulting cost.
