Poppy's Ocean-View Cottage, Hot Tub, Dog-Friendly

A dog-friendly ocean-view cottage in Summerland with a private hot tub and fenced garden — a standalone guesthouse for couples or a small family, sleeping 4. Poppy's is the cottage people picture when they daydream about running away to the coast: a private entrance through a lush, fully fenced garden, a jacuzzi tucked among the greenery, and an upstairs deck where the Pacific spreads out in front of your morning coffee. Your dog gets a garden; you get the ocean; everybody wins.

THE SPACE. Downstairs, a cozy living room with queen pullout and smart TV flows into a well-stocked kitchen — everything a slow breakfast or a late-night snack run requires. Upstairs, the queen bedroom comes with its own reading nook and opens to the ocean-view deck, where sweeping water views make sunset non-negotiable. The garden is the cottage's second living room: seating among the plantings, the hot tub steaming in the corner, and secure fencing that lets the dog patrol in peace.

WELLNESS HERE. Garden soaks under the open sky, salt air on the deck, reading-nook afternoons, and Summerland's famously unhurried pace. Premium linens and bath products included — bring the novel you keep meaning to finish.

THE LOCATION. Summerland — walk to the village's cafés, antique shops, and beach; 10 minutes to Montecito and downtown Santa Barbara.

GOOD TO KNOW. Upstairs ceilings are low (6-footers, duck!). Highway 101 and the coastal train pass through Summerland — light background noise comes with the ocean proximity. A friendly neighboring cat roams the property but stays out of the cottage.
