Neighborhood
A central, historic downtown location within short walking distance of St. George Street, the Castillo de San Marcos, the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum, the bayfront and several museums, galleries and restaurants. The vibe is tourist‑oriented and historic — cobblestone or narrow streets, independent shops, nightly tours (ghost, pirate, trolley) and regular events. Anastasia Island beaches and the St. Augustine Lighthouse are a short drive or shuttle ride away.

Getting around
Very walkable for downtown sightseeing, dining and many attractions. Local hop‑on/hop‑off trolleys and the Beach Bus serve main tourist corridors. Rideshare and taxis are widely available; parking can be limited and metered in the historic district, with public parking garages/lots near the Visitor Information Center and Castillo. For beach access or exploring beyond downtown, a car is convenient. Bicycle and scooter rentals are available seasonally.
