A COTTAGE BY THE SOUND

The neighborhood carries a village-like feeling that is rare inside a city. Ferries and sailboats cross the Sound, fog softens the mornings, and late summer light draws neighbors outside. The beach, cafés, shoreline paths, and waterfront restaurants become part of the everyday rhythm rather than places reserved for a special outing.

LIVING ROOM
The living room is comfortable and unfussy, with hardwood floors, natural light, and nautical touches inspired by the home’s owners, two ship captains. Put your feet up after the beach, stream a movie on a rainy evening, listen to music through the Bluetooth sound system, or enjoy the game console during a quiet night in.

CHEFS KITCHEN AND DINING

The updated kitchen is designed for real cooking, with quartz countertops, generous cabinetry, a gas range and oven, stainless steel appliances, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, blender, rice maker, and coffee maker. A dining table and casual counter seating give you options for meals, work, or morning coffee.

INDOOR OUTDOOR LIVING

French doors open the kitchen directly to the deck, letting meals and conversation move easily outside. Settle into the outdoor seating, cook on the grill, or enjoy views toward Puget Sound as the breeze moves up from the shoreline. Beyond the deck, the fully fenced yard adds a private place for outdoor time and makes the cottage especially convenient for guests traveling with well-behaved pets.

BATHROOM AND LAUNDRY

The cottage has one bathroom with a bathtub, bidet, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hot water, towels, and essentials. A free washer and dryer are located downstairs in the basement for beach towels and everyday laundry.

AROUND ALKI

Walk toward Alki Beach for a morning by the shoreline, stop at Emma Schmitz Memorial Overlook, visit the Log House Museum, or wander through the trees from Schmitz Park Trailhead. Coffee shops, casual cafés, and waterfront restaurants are close enough to become neighborhood favorites during your stay.

The fully fenced backyard and outdoor dining area are also yours to enjoy, creating space for both quiet mornings and shared evenings.

The home includes access to the laundry room, thoughtfully tucked away for convenience, along with all in-home amenities designed to support a seamless stay.

You may come across a locked closet or storage area during your stay, which is reserved for owners and housekeeping. Everything else in the home is prepared and available for your use.

Parking details and access instructions will be shared prior to arrival to ensure your check-in feels smooth and easy from the start.
