About the property

A wall of glass offers panoramic views of Smith Rock, blending indoor and outdoor spaces. This modern home on the rimrock is flooded with sunlight, featuring king beds and a luxurious steam shower.

Enjoy a peaceful setting with probable wildlife sightings and a cliff-edge deck for relaxing. Smith Rock State Park is less than 5 minutes away and always in view.

There is a pellet stove that is easy to operate and provides great heat and ambience. A/C is provided in both the main living room and the larger bedroom. Note that the smaller bedroom does not have its own A/C but stays cool with reasonable care (closing blinds in afternoon and leaving the door open).

The property includes five acres of rural land that you are welcome to carefully explore (note the cliff!).

Note that there is a detached shop about 140' from the house that is occasionally accessed by our business partner.

The entire home is available to the guest and is not shared with anyone. The shop (100' up the driveway) is accessed occasionally (during business/working hours) by us or our business partners.

We are experienced hosts with several other listed properties on Airbnb. We are available by text or phone call for any issues that arise.

Rural five+ acre lots with views of Smith Rock and farm properties. Primary residences from mansions to mobile homes and everything in between. Plenty of farms and ranches as well including adorable alpacas and plenty of cattle and horses.

This home is a 14 minute drive from Redmond airport (RDM) and 28 minutes from Bend.

Please note the well-water is very hard. While the minerals are great for your bones, it does have a very subtle salty taste and is slightly whitish colored. It has been tested and is verified clean and healthy. Also, importantly, we require guests who use the steam-shower (sauna) to squeegee the glass after use, otherwise the mineral buildup is very difficult to remove.

Note that dogs are not allowed, including Emotional Support Animals, which are not recognized as service animals in the state of Oregon. If you are bringing a service animal, we would appreciate if you would describe what duties or work it has been trained to perform, and if it is required because of a disability.

Wildfire smoke is a significant risk in the mid-summer to late fall in the PNW, especially east of the Cascades. Please note that both Airbnb (and by extension, us as hosts) can not predict or control the weather or the smoke, and neither of these are considered grounds for exceptions to the refund policy. If you want a more flexible cancellation policy due to air quality/smoke, we recommend purchasing travel insurance through Airbnb, which is offered to you during the booking process. If your time in Bend is impacted by smoke, we are happy to help you make the best of it—there are often times of day or parts of the surrounding area that are far less smoky than others. We live here and understand the challenge.

Beautiful property with amazing views of Smith Rock. The purpose of the stay was stargazing-watching the meteor showers and this spot was perfect. Very clean and spacious inside. The hosts had a helpful guide book that we used to plan where to eat and local spots to enjoy. One concern we had was smoke from wildfires would affect our stay but the place was equipped with central air filtration so it was not an issue even though the air quality fluctuated during our stay. I would definitely recommend if you want a special place to stay in Central Oregon.

My cousin and I had a wonderful stay at the Smith Rock property. Communication with Ryan and Katie before, during, and after our stay was helpful, informative, and friendly. Everything at the property was as expected/pictured or even better than expected. They are very detail-oriented hosts, which I really appreciate when staying at rental properties. Our stay was only two nights but we wished we could have stayed longer. The property has amazing views of Smith Rock and is very peaceful. We really appreciated how clean the property was upon our arrival and would absolutely stay at any of Ryan and Katie's properties in the future. Ryan gave us a great recommendation for a beautiful, easy hike that had river access (Steelhead Falls), and they even have an Oregon Parks pass on hand for guest use. Don't hesitate to book your stay!

This is an absolutely gorgeous house with an amazing view of Smith Rock. We loved waking up every morning and watching the sunrise over Smith Rock and just hanging out on the back porch and enjoying the view. The house is just as advertised and was the perfect size for us, and super clean. There are neighbors to either side, but it still feels super secluded. Can't recommend this house enough, and will book it again if it's available!
