Please be aware it is common in the wilds of Alaska for residents to have their dogs off-leash, and for dogs to bark to deter bears and other wild animals. If you are not comfortable with dogs in the area,  this home may not be the best for you.

Wildlife populations including black bears are high in the area (particularly March-October), and we kindly remind families to keep a close eye on children, avoid leaving food outside (including residue in the grill and fire), secure all garbage, and keep doors and windows closed.

Many homes in this climate are built without air conditioning. We provide portable fans that can be used to stay cool and comfortable.

Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. We kindly ask that you refrain from hosting parties or creating excessive noise during your stay, as we strive to maintain a peaceful environment for both our guests and neighbors. If using the hot tub late in the evening, please keep noise levels respectful. Amplified outdoor sounds are strictly prohibited.

Before using the hot tub, please take a quick shower to help keep the water clean and enjoyable for all guests. Oils, lotions, and other residues can affect water quality and may lead to maintenance issues.

We recommend setting it to 102°F, as most people find this temperature comfortable, though it may be adjusted higher if preferred.
