The lakeside is a wonderful location for nature enthusiasts who enjoy watching wildlife from afar, though it may not be ideal for everyone. Ladybugs are delightful seasonal visitors to this home, typically appearing in larger numbers during October and November, adding a touch of nature’s charm. Their natural predator, the wasp, may also be present during this time — a normal part of the ecosystem’s balance. While measures are taken to mitigate the presence of these insects as much as possible, guests should understand that this home is surrounded by nature, and occasional visits from local wildlife are to be expected.
This home follows a strict maximum occupancy rule. Please make sure that the total number of guests accompanying you (including both children and adults) doesn’t exceed the indicated maximum occupancy above to avoid cancellation of your stay and additional fees.
Since the home offers direct lake access and a private dock, please take note of the following:
Licensing
Adults and children ages 16 and older are required to have a valid fishing license.
A valid fishing license from either North Carolina or Virginia permits fishing throughout the entire lake, regardless of which state's waters you're in.
Children under the age of 16 may fish without a license
Fishing Methods and Restrictions
All fish must be caught using a hook and line; net fishing is prohibited.
Fishing is available year-round, with the peak season typically running from spring to fall
Species-Specific Regulations: Largemouth Bass
Anglers may keep largemouth bass caught in a single day's fishing
There is a 14-inch minimum size limit for largemouth bass, with a daily creel limit of five fish
Two of these largemouth bass may be smaller than 14 inches in length, while the others must be 14 inches or larger
All excess largemouth bass must be immediately returned unharmed to the lake
