Take in incredible sunset views from multiple decks, soak in the private hot tub, or gather by the outdoor fireplace. Big Abe is a spacious 6-bedroom, 6-bath mountain lodge designed for groups of up to 14, with incredible long-range sunset views from every level. With 4,700+ square feet, multiple living areas, expansive decks, a private hot tub, and plenty of room to gather or spread out, it’s especially well suited for multi-family vacations, groups of friends, celebrations, and retreats.
MAIN LEVEL
Floor-to-ceiling windows put the mountain views front and center as soon as you walk in. The open-concept living area features comfortable seating, a gas fireplace, and plenty of room for your group to spend time together while taking in the views.
The kitchen and dining areas flow directly into the main living space, making it easy for everyone to cook, eat, and gather together.
KITCHEN & DINING
The spacious kitchen was designed with larger groups in mind and includes:
• Stainless steel appliances
• Gas stove
• Two dishwashers
• Generous counter and prep space
• Large kitchen island
Two dishwashers are especially helpful when you have a full house, and the open layout gives multiple people room to cook and gather without feeling crowded.
The kitchen and dining areas connect directly to the main living space, so everyone can stay part of the conversation whether you’re preparing dinner, having morning coffee, or gathering around the table.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
One of Big Abe’s biggest advantages for larger groups is its bedroom and bathroom setup. The lodge offers 5 private bedrooms plus a bunk room, with 6 full bathrooms throughout the home.
Most bedrooms have their own private ensuite bathroom. The bunk room shares a bathroom with one of the king suites, making it a convenient setup for families traveling with children.
With multiple private bedrooms and bathrooms, couples and families can enjoy their own space while still vacationing together under one roof.
LOWER LEVEL
The lower level gives your group a second place to gather, relax, and spread out.
You’ll find:
• Comfortable lounge area
• Gas fireplace
• Wet bar
• Direct deck access
• Mountain views
This separate living area is especially useful for larger groups, giving everyone more room without feeling disconnected from the rest of the house.
OUTDOOR LIVING
Big Abe was built to take advantage of its western-facing mountain setting, and the outdoor spaces are one of the highlights of the property.
Enjoy:
• Long-range mountain and sunset views
• Multiple decks and porches
• Private hot tub overlooking the mountains
• Outdoor wood-burning fireplace
• Outdoor seating and gathering areas
The sunsets are a guest favorite here. Pour a drink and watch the sun disappear behind the mountains, soak in the hot tub under the stars, or spend the evening together around the outdoor fireplace.
MADE FOR GROUPS
Big Abe gives up to 14 guests something that can be hard to find in a mountain cabin: enough space to truly enjoy being together without everyone being on top of each other.
With 4,700+ square feet, 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, two living areas, a large kitchen, multiple decks, and plenty of indoor and outdoor gathering space, the cabin works especially well for extended families, multiple couples, groups of friends, celebrations, and retreats.
And you don’t have to choose between incredible mountain views and convenience. Big Abe offers paved road access and is only about 10 minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge.
Guests have full private access to the entire 4,700+ sq. ft. cabin and its outdoor spaces, including:
• All 6 bedrooms and living areas
• Multiple decks and porches
• Private hot tub
• Outdoor wood-burning fireplace
• Lower-level lounge and wet bar
• Outdoor seating and gathering areas
Self check-in is available via a lockbox at the property. Lockbox information and complete arrival instructions will be provided prior to your stay.
Big Abe is accessible via fully paved mountain roads, though there are steep sections and switchbacks leading to the cabin.
