Amenities: 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths: sleeps 7. Newly renovated with screened-in front porch and backyard sun deck with mountain views outdoor seating and propane grill. Kayak and full sized inflatable paddle board available for guests. Spectrum Wi-Fi, Smart TV with Amazon Fire Stick, propane stove, AC throughout, washer/dryer on main floor, large yard perfect for games. Four (4) pairs of snowshoes and bikes are also available for use. Great location - close to the center of Great Barrington and only 1 mile to Ski Butternut! NO SMOKING. Please inquire about pets.
Laurel Cottage is delightful Berkshire Cottage experience designed to delight the sense with color, warm fabric touches, and a brilliant use of space. Nestled into a quiet neighborhood with mountain views and a large flat lawn, less than a mile from Ski Butternut, Laurel Cottage close to all the shops and restaurants of downtown Great Barrington has to offer.
In the summer, guests can enjoy warm breezes on the front screened porch, morning coffee on the deck with an expansive flat lawen and East Mountain Views, and partake in water pleasures with a kayak and a full sized inflatable paddle board available for guests to use. In winter, Laurel Cottage is less than 1 mile to Ski Butternut, and very close to town... so this sweet cottage is well positioned for all that the Berkshires has to offer.
Guests enter through the screened-in porch, into the front entry hall organized space for your Berkshire gear. The home concept is both open and cozy with the kitchen, dining, and living room space being an "all-in-one" and includes a cozy reading/meditation or additional sleep space for an overnight guest. The well-appointed kitchen has all new (2022) stainless appliances (refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and 6 burner propane range as well as a small microwave, toaster, and all the other gadgets you need to make your gourmet meals. The dining area is also in this space and there is a round table that seats 6 with chairs and a built in banquette and additional counter seating for two (2). Down the hall from this space is the main floor guest suite with a full bed, and an ensuite small media/reading room and full bathroom with walk in shower. The small media room with a smart TV and Amazon fire stick allows guests to view Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime by logging in with your own account(s) and/or cable provider.
Upstairs, are two (2) more bedrooms (queen and two twins) and a fresh full bath with gleaming tile in the tub/shower. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, with East Mountain views and a small reading/mediation nook, and the second bedroom has two twins beds. These two bedrooms share the second floor full bathroom with tub/shower.
Outside, guests can enjoy several areas! The front porch is full screened and has 2 seating options. The sun deck with mountain views, outdoor seating, propane grill, and an umbrella is just off the kitchen. Surrounding the sun deck is a lush and expansive lawn, perfect for a game of tag or outdoor sports. There is also a darling garden shed on site!
Guests are welcome to use the kayak and the full sized paddle board (at their own risk, of course!).
This location is very close to Great Barrington so it is very easy to enjoy the restaurants, shops, farmers markets, great food Co-Op, or to take in a show at the Mahaiwe Theater. Ski Butternut is less than 1 mile away and just 15 minutes to Catamount! Lenox, Tanglewood, and Stockbridge are all a 10-20 minutes drive.... hike the Appalachian Trail, Monument Mountain, or Beartown State Park within minutes. So much fun in the Berkshires and such a central location to enjoy it!
