Conway House sits overlooking the sparkling Housatonic River, with vast views. This newly built (2021) contemporary chalet style house has much to offer, from style to amenities, and a great year-round location!
Amenities include: 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 baths and Big Views of the Housatonic River! Sleeps 6 (7 max). Screened-in porch, central AC, propane wood stove, 2 TVs, 2 car garage with direct entry, Weber BBQ gas grill, fire-pit, high speed cable for internet, good cell service, washer/dryer, whole-house water filter for clean drinkable water, wrap around deck with views of the Housatonic River and lots of outdoor seating perfect for nature viewing. Please inquire about bringing your pet. No smoking, please!
Step inside from the covered entry deck and you are greeted by open concept living with a wall of windows. These floor to ceiling (west facing) windows allow for easy nature viewing and stunning sunsets, and the French doors lead to the viewing deck. Binoculars included! The main floor has an open kitchen, dining room, and great room all sharing one space beneath a soaring ceiling. There is a propane wood stove and lots of comfortable seating in the living room area along with a large TV (streaming channels only). The upscale kitchen has brand new stainless steel appliances (dishwasher, fridge, and electric oven) along with a large prep Island, soapstone counters, and plenty of storage including a large walk in pantry! There is also a Keurig coffeemaker (use pods or make a pot!), toaster, microwave, and Kitchen-Aid mixer. The lovely cherry wood dining table comfortably seats 6. If you have more guests, simply add the table leaves for 8+ people!
Just down the hall from the kitchen is the primary bedroom with queen bed, and an ensuite full bath with a tiled shower. Guest bedroom #2 is also on the main floor with two twin beds and a 1/2 bath just next door. There is a 3rd guest bedroom on the second floor with a queen bed and its own full bath (tub/shower combination) and its own sitting area with a small foldout sofa. Outside, in addition to the wrap around deck, enjoy a screened in porch with streaming TV or simply relax and take in the views of the river, stunning sunsets, and wildlife so abundant to the Berkshires. An attached two car garage makes for easy access into the lower level and brings you to stairs that lead to the kitchen.
Centrally located in Great Barrington, this fabulous new home is just 15 minutes to Tanglewood/Lenox, 10 minutes to Ski Butternut and 15 minutes to Catamount Ski! This is Berkshire living at its best!! Please inquire about pets and no smoking, please!
