There's enough happening outside at Moonstone Bungalow to fill an entire vacation. Start with a friendly pickleball match or a game on the full-court basketball court, then cool off in the pool while the rest of the group claims the loungers. The pool even has its own bathroom and shower nearby, making it easy to spend the better part of the day outdoors.

For a slower pace, alternate between the sauna and cold plunge, stretch out in one of the hammocks, or relax in a hanging chair beneath the pergola. The cold plunge is cleaned and left empty before each stay, with a hose available for filling. Guests who want an icy plunge should plan to bring their own ice.

As evening arrives, the outdoor spaces take on an entirely different personality. Gather around the custom fire pit, share dinner beneath the covered patio, or settle into the beanbag chairs for a movie under the desert sky. The hot tub faces the outdoor screen, so you can enjoy the movie without ever leaving the warm water.

A deep sage-green sofa, sculptural woven chairs, warm wood accents, and carefully curated artwork create a space that feels stylish without sacrificing comfort. It's an easy place to linger over morning coffee, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a quieter moment away from the action.

When the group is ready to settle in together, the second lounge offers an entirely different atmosphere. An oversized sectional wraps around a generous coffee table, with a large TV for movie nights and plenty of seating for everyone to get comfortable. With multiple living spaces, guests can enjoy different activities without competing for the same room.

An adjoining dining area makes gathering around the table easy, whether it's a relaxed breakfast before exploring Joshua Tree or a home-cooked dinner after a full day outside. For meals in the fresh air, the covered outdoor dining area offers another welcoming place to bring everyone together.

-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
With seven bedrooms spread across two separate homes, Moonstone Bungalow gives larger groups the flexibility to vacation together while maintaining a little personal space.

The main house features five bedrooms and three bathrooms, while the casita has two additional bedrooms and its own bathroom. Across the two homes, five bedrooms feature king beds, one bedroom has two queen beds, and another has a double bed.

The primary bedroom also includes a dedicated workspace for anyone who needs to catch up on a little work during their stay.

The bathrooms are thoughtfully finished, with contemporary fixtures and clean, comfortable interiors. One features a freestanding soaking tub, a spacious glass-enclosed shower, double vanities, and beautiful patterned tile flooring. A fifth bathroom with a shower is conveniently located in the pool area.

-The Casita-
One of the property's greatest advantages for group travel is its separate 1,100-square-foot casita. With two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a dedicated workspace, it provides a comfortable second home base for guests who appreciate having their own space.

It's particularly well suited to extended families, couples traveling together, or anyone who prefers a quieter place to retreat while still sharing the larger vacation experience. Everyone can come together for meals, games, and time outdoors, then enjoy a little independence at the end of the day.

-Game Room-
For groups who love a little friendly competition, the entertainment doesn't stop at the outdoor courts. The game room features an 8-ball pool table and shuffleboard, offering another place for everyone to gather, challenge each other to a game, and keep the evening going.

Whether your group spends the day exploring Joshua Tree or decides there's simply too much to enjoy at home, Moonstone Bungalow makes it easy to fill the days with activity, relaxation, and plenty of time together.

-Surrounding Area-
Joshua Tree National Park is the draw for hiking, climbing, scenic drives and sunsets among the boulders. Downtown Joshua Tree has shops, restaurants, galleries and a golf course. The wider area offers live music in Pioneertown, sound baths at the Integratron and wide-open desert under dark, starry skies.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.

-Pool Hours-
The pool is available year round from 7am to 10pm.

-Kitchen Island-
Please use only soap and water to clean the custom concrete kitchen island, and keep red wine and coffee off it, as they stain the concrete and it is very expensive to redo.

-Basketball Court-
Please do not dunk or hang on the rims of the basketball court. You will be held liable for any damage.

-Occupancy-
Main House: up to 12 guests. Casita: up to 6 guests.

-House-Specific Rules-
► Please keep music at a reasonable volume and turn it off by the start of quiet hours.
► Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it has been serviced, as chemical levels are higher than usual for a short time. Please rinse off any oils, lotions or other products before entering, and keep the cover on when the hot tub is not in use, as desert debris easily gets into the water. No drinking in the hot tub, please. Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.

-Pool Heating Fee-
Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival, as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you'd like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. Please note that we will need at least 24 hours' notice to heat the pool.

► $350 first night, $250 each night after

During the winter months, please be aware that colder outdoor temperatures may cause the pool to feel cooler than its maintained temperature of 85°F. We kindly ask that you ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before submitting a request, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis.

-Pool and Hot Tub Service-
The pool and hot tub are serviced regularly, approximately between 9am and 4pm, and service may fall during your stay. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.

-Pet Policy-
We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Wildlife & Safety-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

-Security Camera-
For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the pool and hot tub areas.

-Cell Service-
Cell phone coverage is available at the property, though reception can vary by carrier.

-Damage Waiver Policy-
Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
