Welcome to Shadow House, a striking modern home set on a secluded hillside in Monument Manor - one of Joshua Tree's most coveted neighborhoods, just minutes from the park entrance. Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Eduardo Cadaval, this newly built residence merges bold geometry with the quiet poetry of the desert, framing panoramic views that stretch deep into Joshua Tree National Park.
Every detail of the home embodies a rare balance of modern refinement and natural warmth. Walls of glass slide open to reveal an expansive terrace, where the desert unfurls in every direction - sculptural boulders, wide skies, and the timeless calm of the high desert.
Inside, you're immersed in an open-concept living area anchored by a custom Boffi chef's kitchen, fully equipped and thoughtfully stocked for your stay. The interiors are curated with restored vintage designer furnishings and collectible art pieces from Le Corbusier, Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia, Hans Hopfer, and Pierre Paulin - a mix of sculptural form and organic ease that defines the home's aesthetic. Each space feels deliberate yet effortless, designed for slow mornings, creative flow, and golden-hour gatherings that spill onto the terrace.
Step outside and the five acre landscape unfolds in every direction. A heated pool and spa carved directly into the boulders serve as one of the home's sculptural focal points - mirroring the vast desert beyond. Lounge under the covered dining patio, gather by the fire pit, and watch the colors shift across the desert as day turns to night.
The primary suite features a king bed, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a private indoor/outdoor shower - a daily ritual immersed in light and air. A second ensuite bedroom offers its own serene perspective on the landscape, while across a private breezeway, a third guest suite provides separation and comfort for family or friends, complete with its own indoor/outdoor shower.
