Guests love the hot tub, outdoor kitchen and upscale media and game room, the breathtaking mountain and lake views from a secluded high elevation setting, the spotless, well appointed home, and the attentive, responsive host who ensures a seamless stay.
Some roads near the home are very narrow — please drive slowly and use extra caution when navigating the area.
To interact with the Smart home controls at Wander Lake Burton, we invite guests to download the Josh.ai Home Automation app on their device. This will give you all access to controls for the front door lock, lighting, and projector among others.
As a mountain home, the views are one-of-a-kind but cliffs are extremely dangerous for kids or dogs left unattended. The home is very safe and built to withstand inclement weather, but it may rattle or shake.
Please be aware that black bear populations are high in the area (particularly March-October), and we kindly remind families to keep a close eye on children, avoid leaving food outside (including residue in the grill, smoker, and pizza oven), secure all garbage, and keep doors and windows closed.
This is a pet-free hypoallergenic space. No pets are allowed inside the home to maintain a hypoallergenic area as much as possible for our guests’ comfort.
Due to the early cold snap in North Georgia, the hot tub will be closed during January and February to prevent freezing and potential damage.
Please also note that there is a heating fee of $75 per day from November through December. If you’d like to use the hot tub during that period, please contact the Concierge at least three days before your stay to arrange for the hot tub to be filled and heated, as it requires a minimum of three days to prepare. Please keep in mind that heating may not work during periods of extremely low temperatures.
The hot tub will fully reopen on March 1, 2026, once temperatures are consistently above freezing.

Elevator
For your convenience, an elevator is available upon request. If you will require elevator access during your stay, please notify Concierge ahead of your arrival so the team can activate it in advance. We kindly ask that children use the elevator only when accompanied by an adult.
