By Car: Major highways and roads connect Lexington to nearby cities like Brenham, College Station, and Bryan, making day trips easy.

Local Transportation: Public transit options are limited, so rideshares, taxis, or rental cars are your best bet if you don’t have your own vehicle.

Walking & Biking: The neighborhood around Nursery Dr is quiet and walkable for short strolls, but most amenities require a short drive.

Lexington is a great town. You can hear the high school band playing for football games on Friday nights. Saturdays there’s a busy farmers market with booths, the occasional live music, and plenty of produce, local honey, and artisan merchants. Be sure to get in line early if you have an appetite for the #1-rated BBQ in America—Snow’s. Herk’s does a top-shelf burger and there’s a local meat market in town. There’s a lively cattle auction at the barn every week. You’re equidistant (45 minutes) from the vibrant nightlife of the little big city of College Station, TX, and the urban draw of Austin.

The house is great but getting settled there was near impossible. We arrived to a filthy house (truly) and was told that someone was coming to clean it for five days in a row. Only after escalating the situation to Airbnb corporate were we able to finally get the house cleaned and the rest of our stay was delightful.

Overall, we were disappointed with our stay. The property felt like it hadn’t been checked or maintained for some time and came across as a company-managed Airbnb rather than a cared-for home. Furnishings were worn, the dining table was heavily scratched, and basics like toilet paper, kitchen towels, a dish sponge, and hand soap were missing. The bird’s nest was enjoyable to watch, but months of bird droppings by the back door and a large active wasp nest near the front entrance were unacceptable. I reported both at check-in, but nothing was done. Outside, the BBQ was unusable, the yard was overgrown, the patio furniture was weathered with vines, and the outdoor TV didn’t work. The pool was nice but needed skimming first. The property has potential but needs proper cleaning, maintenance, and management. We also found it concerning that the listing remained available for weeks after we booked, leaving us unsure whether our reservation was secure.

Lexington Cafe & Grill

I cannot provide the requested description because Lexington Cafe & Grill in Lexington, Texas is currently closed.[1] The restaurant is no longer operating, so creating a promotional description would be inaccurate and misleading.

Step back in time at Heritage Square's charming Victorian village, where thrilling alpine slides, classic amusement rides, and family dinner theater create nostalgic fun amid stunning foothills scenery. Kids and families seeking affordable, wholesome adventures will love every twist and twirl.[1][4]

Lexington Memorial Park
