Before you book Wander Palomar Mountain
Smart Home Technology : There is state-of-the-art technology throughout the home, which you will need to control from the Wander app. Our Wander Concierge will support over text but if you are not comfortable using tech - it may not be an enjoyable experience. Please note this functionality is in beta and we are constantly adding improvements.
Solar-powered home : Wander Palomar Mountain is completely off grid and powered by the sun. It is best to conserve energy as much as possible, but we do have a backup generator that will kick in automatically should power run low.
Wildfire vigilance : Like with any stay in the mountains out West, it is important you stay alert and adhere to local guidelines to prevent and avoid wildfires.
No hot tub : Please be aware that at this time, there is no hot tub at this property. We are working on adding one as soon as possible.
Cell service : You may experience cell service disruptions in this region of San Diego County. To ensure you have no issues at arrival, please be sure to program your GPS while you are still in a service area. We also recommend screenshoting the entry details and WiFi password provided in the check-in email sent 72 hours ahead of your trip.

Wander is perfect for those who love adventure, new experiences and technology. We find homes in the most inspiring of locations, which means that our properties can be a bit off-the-beaten-path, with some even positioned on high cliffs or up a steep drive. We take pride in the fact that our homes are equipped with the latest in smart home technology, but understand not everyone may be as excited about and comfortable with those functionalities as we are. Please be sure to read through our policies and each home's description thoroughly to ensure that Wander and the property that you are booking is right for you and your party. Our Concierge is also available by text to answer any questions.
There is a 3-night minimum stay for all Wander homes. We only accept 1 or 2-night bookings if there is a gap between existing bookings. You should be able to do that in-app automatically in those situations!
If it is more than 14 days before your check-in date: you can freely move your stay, or receive Wander credits of the full value of your trip which you can spend on any future stay at any Wander property. If it is less than 14 days before your check-in date: you can no longer move your trip. We will re-list your dates and attempt to re-book them. If we are successful, you will receive Wander credit for whatever dates we are able to re-book. We allow you to re-sell or gift your dates if you have a colleague or friend who can make them. In this case, just let Concierge know their name and email. By booking, you agree and understand Wander does not give refunds, only credits under the stated conditions.
Wanders have very expensive furniture and linens, and we recommend you consider not bringing your pet. Pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, Tesla, or spa facilities. Pet owners will be automatically charged the cost of additional dry cleaning, cleaning treatments, or linen replacements for dog hair in these locations. For those who would like to bring a pet, there is a + $100 per pet charge at check-out, which goes to the cleaner for their added work for cleaning pet hair in corners, carpets, and floors. This does not cover additional treatments needed if pets go on the furniture, beds, spa facilities or leave waste on the property.
