The Raven has the character of a classic desert ranch, with warm timber ceilings, rustic woodwork, vintage Western details, and inviting spaces designed for spending time together. The atmosphere shifts naturally from the relaxed, light-filled living room to a spirited billiards lounge, while the separate casita gives guests a little independence. It's a home where a group can enjoy a full weekend together without everyone needing to follow the same schedule.

Just outside Pioneertown, the property sits beneath dramatic rocky hills, with desert scenery surrounding its outdoor gathering spaces. Its proximity to Pappy & Harriet's makes it especially appealing for guests who want to experience the area's music and dining scene while having a comfortable, entertaining home to return to.

The swimming pool sits against a backdrop of rugged mountains and open desert, with loungers along the deck for stretching out between swims. Nearby, an updated timber pergola shelters a long dining table, giving everyone a place to gather for lunch or enjoy a relaxed dinner prepared on the BBQ.

The hot tub offers another way to unwind, particularly as the evening air cools. Later, settle around the fire pit for conversation beneath the desert sky. There's also a welcoming front porch with a swing, a quieter spot to enjoy the landscape away from the main gathering areas.

Native desert vegetation, cacti, and boulders give the grounds their natural character. The yard is not fully fenced, and the surrounding landscape includes neighboring properties.

The main living room offers a comfortable contrast to the home's more spirited entertaining spaces. A generous sectional, warm natural materials, and large windows create an inviting place to settle in after exploring Pioneertown or Joshua Tree.

An indoor fireplace brings warmth to cooler evenings, while the TV, sound system, books, and board games offer easy entertainment when the group wants a quieter night. With plenty of seating and room to spread out, it's equally suited to watching a movie, reading, or catching up over a leisurely morning.

The kitchen is designed for the practical pleasures of a group getaway, from preparing breakfast before heading out to cooking a full dinner together. Wood cabinetry and granite counters give it a classic ranch-home feel, while a gas range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and cookware make meals easy to prepare.

A drip coffee maker, kettle, blender, toaster, and everyday dining essentials are also provided. The indoor dining table seats six, while the long table beneath the outdoor pergola offers another setting for meals together, especially when the weather calls for grilling and spending the evening outside.

-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
The Raven has five bedrooms and four bathrooms across the main house and separate casita, accommodating up to eight guests. The arrangement works particularly well for groups who appreciate having a little personal space between shared activities.

The main house includes three bedrooms. The primary suite features a king bed and private ensuite bathroom, while the additional bedrooms offer a queen bed and a black steel bunk bed. Sliding barn doors, woven textiles, and windows overlooking the desert bring the home's relaxed ranch character into the sleeping spaces.

The separate casita offers two additional bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. One features a king bed beneath exposed timber beams, with glass doors opening toward the desert. The other has two twin beds, providing a flexible arrangement for friends or family members sharing the property.

A dedicated laundry room with a washer and dryer adds convenience for longer stays. A travel crib and high chair are available upon request.

-Bar and Billiards Lounge-
The Raven's most distinctive indoor space is its Western-inspired bar and billiards lounge, a room that feels right at home in Pioneertown.

A red-felt pool table takes center stage beneath wagon-wheel iron chandeliers, while a long wooden bar and stools create a natural gathering spot between games. Leather sofas offer a place to sit back and watch, and vintage signage, an American flag, and a Joshua tree mural give the room its unmistakable personality.

Whether you're warming up for an evening at Pappy & Harriet's or keeping the night going after returning home, this is the room that brings everyone together. Put on some music, rack up another game, and enjoy having your own little piece of Pioneertown's social spirit.

-Surrounding Area-
The Raven sits at the edge of Pioneertown, a 1940s western movie set turned working town, close to Pappy & Harriet's. La Copine, Joshua Tree National Park and the Integratron make good outings.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.

The roads to the house are dirt but passable by low-riding cars.

-House-Specific Rules-
► Please keep music at a reasonable volume and turn it off by the start of quiet hours.

-Pool Heating Fee-
Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival, as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you'd like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating must be requested for the whole duration of your stay. Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. Please note that we will need at least 24 hours' notice to heat the pool.

► $350 for the first night, $250 for the second night and $150 per night after

During the winter months, please be aware that colder outdoor temperatures may cause the pool to feel cooler than its maintained temperature of 85°F. We kindly ask that you ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before submitting a request, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis.

-Hot Tub-
Hot tub heating is free. Please rinse off before and after using the hot tub, and keep the lid on to keep dirt out and heat in. Absolutely no glass near any water.

-Pool and Hot Tub Service-
We have pool cleanings twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, and these days may fall during your stay.

-Pet Policy-
We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Dogs Left at the House-
Please do not leave dogs unattended at the house; if you must, crates are preferred.

-Wildlife & Safety-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

-Security Camera-
For your security, there is a camera at the front of the main house, in the middle at the edge of the roof. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the pool and hot tub.

-Cell Service-
There is no cell phone coverage at the property. Wi-Fi is available, so please download maps and directions before you arrive.

-Damage Waiver Policy-
Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
