You will need a car, but ride-shares/taxis are available to get you back and forth from Pappy's.

◦ THINGS TO NOTE:
Please note: Cowboy pools are unavailable from November through March.

Outdoor Surveillance: We do have one Ring camera facing the driveway and entrance area.
Cell phone coverage: NO cellphone coverage
Paved Roads/Dirt Roads: Dirt roads but capable of low riding cars if taken slow

◦ Wildlife: this is the rural desert and we share the space with the wildlife. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat.

◦ Additionally, any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee

◦ Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address

  • Pet Fee is $100

  • We are unable to accommodate cats due to the owner's severe allergy. Appreciate your understanding!

◦ RULES:
Noise ordinance:
Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No external speakers allowed. Any noise related discrepancies will result in at least a $1000 fine.

◦ SMOKING POLICY
No smoking inside the house or within 10ft. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees

◦ Restricted Areas:
Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item.

◦ Hot Tub/Pool:
Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times.
Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration.
No drinking in the hot tub, please.
Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water.
Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.

-Cowboy Tub Availability-
The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during winter months (November - March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.

◦ Photoshoots & Video:
No un permitted photoshoots or videoing at the home. If you would like to use our home for those purposes please send us a message. Any unauthorized filming will result in a $5000 violation and production fee.

◦ GUIDED MEDITATION / HYPNOTHERAPY
Enjoy a relaxing guided meditation or a healing hypnotherapy session full of self-discovery with renowned hypnotherapist, spiritual teacher, author, and founder of Desert Reset retreat, Cynthia Morgan.

◦ STAR TOUR
If you would like a better view of the night sky there is a company called Sky Watcher that offers a “Star Tour".

◦ MASSAGE
For convenience, privacy, and relaxation, guests can request an in-house massage with Ryan Mussen of Mojave Massage. Book a neuromuscular therapeutic deep tissue massage, sports massage, swedish relaxation massage, or even a sound meditation session.

◦ PRIVATE SOUND BATH
Ryan Mussen also does amazing private in-home sound baths.

◦ YOGA INSTRUCTOR
If you are interested in having a yoga instructor teach private classes at the house please contact us for referrals.

◦ PAPPY & HARRIET'S
If you plan to have dinner at Pappy & Harriet’s, we strongly recommend making an advance reservation.

BBQ / Grill House Rules: For your safety and the safety of our home, please follow these rules when using the BBQ:

Gas Only – No Charcoal or Lighter Fluid

  • The BBQ is connected directly to a gas line.
  • Do not use charcoal, wood, lighter fluid, or any other fuel.
  • Using these items can cause serious damage, fire hazards, or even an explosion.

Operate Safely

  • Ensure the gas is turned off after each use.
  • Do not leave the grill unattended while cooking.

Clean After Use

  • Please brush and wipe down the grill grates after cooking.
  • Do not leave food scraps, grease, or ashes.

Damage & Extra Cleaning Fees

  • If charcoal, lighter fluid, or other unsafe materials are used, an extra cleaning charge will apply.
  • Any damages caused by misuse of the grill may result in additional fees.

Damage Waiver Policy

  • Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver
