Welcome to Azalea Retreat - The Cottage + The Lodge in one listing. These two neighboring houses sleep 34 have a large saltwater pool, fire pits and pickle ball court. THE COTTAGE: This modern, newly constructed lake house, built directly on Lake Norman, features an upside-down living concept. This unique home was perfectly designed with our guests in mind. The bedrooms are on the lower level, while all living spaces are upstairs, allowing for the most magnificent views of Lake Norman! This house is built with the utmost modern efficiency. There are four en-suite bedrooms with a queen bed in each. Barn-style sliding doors allow for privacy from the shared bathroom. Each bedroom has a private patio with Adirondack chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine! The lower level also hosts a children's bunk room with two sets of twin-sized bunk beds, sleeping 4 in total. The bunk room has a hall bathroom for the kids to enjoy their bubble baths while getting squeaky clean! The living space in Azalea Retreat - The Cottage features an open spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen perfect for spending time with family and friends. The living room has a new, bright, and fresh feel that holds a 65" TV, two comfy blue leather sofas, two chairs, and a bench that comfortably seats 10 people. The dining area, only steps away, features seating for 10 as well. With families in mind, the kitchen houses a large granite island with bar seating for six and new top-of-the-line appliances, including a gas stove, a dishwasher, and a separate freezer and refrigerator. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and small appliances, including a Keurig and drip coffee maker to meet every group's needs. You will love the large walk-in pantry that can easily store all of your food and drinks! The Cottage provides ample outdoor space with manicured landscaping and plenty of opportunities for fun and relaxation! The Cottage features the newest craze: a pickleball court (shared with The Lodge). Take a short stroll down the stone walkway to a private dock to enjoy your time in the water. Conveniently located on the dock are all of the fun lake toys, which include a kayak, a paddle board, and an assortment of life jackets. Don't forget to secure your pontoon rental! There is a large outdoor stone fire pit perfect for s'mores at night and relaxation after fun days on the lake. Nestled between Azalea Retreat - The Cottage and Azalea Retreat - The Lodge is the eye-catching in-ground pool surrounded by an aesthetic stone landscape. Each property - The Cottage and The Lodge - will have its own personal access to the pool deck. There are plenty of chaise lounges to enjoy the sun and the magnificent Lake Norman views! Azalea Retreat- The Lodge Azalea Retreat - The Lodge is Lake Norman's finest luxury cabin. The Lodge genuinely has the best views on the lake! With 150 feet of shoreline, lake views are easily accessible from any point of the home and property. This lakeside three-story log cabin features floor-to-ceiling windows along the whole backside of the house, complete with a wrap-around deck that extends the entire length of the house on the main and lower levels. This exquisite custom log cabin is built on the shores of Lake Norman. The 2-acre property greets each guest with pathways to the water, complete with your own private dock. Azalea Retreat - The Lodge has a brand new communal pool, shared with our other house, Azalea Retreat - The Cottage. Each home has its own designated lounging areas. Upon entering your lakeside log cabin, you are greeted by a foyer structured from beautiful, natural wood, wood beam ceilings, Italian tile-lined walls, and, of course, breathtaking views of the lake. You can immediately feel the "Wow Factor" as you walk past the foyer into the 2-story living room, kitchen, and dining area. The main living area is furnished with large leather sofas, guaranteeing comfort for your stay. The 2-story custom stone wood fireplace gives you that cozy, at-home feeling. This living space provides two separate seating areas perfect for admiring the lake views, catching a movie, or enjoying the fireplace. The kitchen features all new appliances and a large island with new granite countertops and bar seating. It is completely stocked with dishes, utensils, and small appliances, so you won't miss a thing from home! To gather for a family-style dinner, you may choose to eat at the large dining table, which seats 10, decorated with a unique antler chandelier to complete the log cabin experience! Off the main level living area is a primary bedroom with an en-suite bath. The primary bedroom features a 2 story fireplace and private sliding glass doors to the deck to capture endless views of the serene lake. The custom closet with built-ins provides plenty of room to unpack & unwind. The custom log staircase leads you to the second-story loft/seating area. Perfect for curling up with a good book to escape the action. The second floor features two bedrooms with queen beds and a shared full bathroom with hall access. The landing is the perfect place to catch Lake Norman's finest sunsets! The lower level is any family's dream, with three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The game room does not fall short, providing skeeball, shuffleboard, a custom stone fireplace, a TV, and a large sectional for comfort. The lower level primary bedroom has a king and queen bed, its very own fireplace, and a completely renovated en-suite bathroom with a stand-alone shower and soaking tub. This lakeside bedroom is complete with 2 built-in twin bunks and a small seating area with a pull-out sofa sleeper - perfect for a giant kids' sleepover! The lakeside bunk room has access to the full bathroom off the lower-level living room. The final sleeping area on the lower level features 2 queen beds with a full attached bath. Sleeping options don't fall short in this Log Cabin Lodge! The outdoor spaces at Azalea Retreat - The Lodge are nothing short of magical. The decks and lower level patio are fitted with Adirondack chairs for everyone, perfect for relaxing by the lake. Nestled between Azalea Retreat -The Cottage and Azalea Retreat - The Lodge, just above the lake, is the eye-catching in-ground pool, which is surrounded by an aesthetic stone landscape. Each property - The Cottage and The Lodge - will have its own personal access to the pool deck. There are plenty of chaise lounges to enjoy the sun and the magnificent Lake Norman views! Conveniently located on each dock are all of the fun lake toys, which include a kayak, a paddle board, and an assortment of life jackets. The latest addition to Azalea Retreat is a pickleball court. This will be set up near the fire pit on the side of the Cottage, the perfect location to challenge your group to a fun pickleball match! Sometimes they are left behind and available, but they are cleaned out regularly. - The pool is shared with our other property, Azalea Retreat - The Cottage. - The pool is available year-round, however, although it is not heated. - The fireplace in the main level living room of The Lodge may be used for wood burning. All other fireplaces are NOT for guest use. - No events, group gatherings, or parties are allowed at any AvantStay property under any circumstances. - Due to natural fluctuations, we’re unable to provide specific water depth information at any given time. The majority of docks in this area are generally suitable for most average-sized pontoons and ski boats. However, since boat drafts can vary, guests are encouraged to refer to Lake Norman nautical charts, GPS systems, and depth maps—and rely on their own knowledge of their vessel’s specifications—to ensure safe navigation. Parking Details: Maximum of 12 cars is allowed onsite. No parking on grass or street. This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation. There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions. As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards. IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit. We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.
