This exquisite 7,721 square-foot private mountain lodge, located a short walk from the Thunderhead ski lift, provides guests with the highest level of comfort. Representing the very finest in luxury home design, Gold Mine Lodge is impressive right from the entry, with a stunning staircase along a stone wall, rustic wood trim, high ceilings, elegant light fixtures, and plenty of windows providing light to take it all in. Continue to an inviting open floor plan with a spectacular stone wood-burning fireplace that separates the living room, dining room, and gourmet kitchen.
Views draw the attention in every room, highlighting the incredible mountain location and proximity to the ski slopes, just a short 150-yard walk from the door to the chairlift. Gold Mine Lodge boasts a spacious floor plan with luxury amenities, rich furnishings, and exquisite taste.
A gourmet kitchen, with views of the ski mountain from every window, is a delight for any chef. It is fully equipped with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, along with granite countertops, custom cabinetry, and a built-in espresso machine. A large center island and breakfast bar seat five onlookers and a lovely bench window seat provide a place to watch skiers and sunsets.
An elegant dining room comfortably seats 10, the perfect place to share your adventures over dinner while taking in the warmth of the two-sided fireplace. A lavish great room enjoys the other side of the fireplace, complete with plush seating, wall-mounted TV, and large windows that provide views of the ski area and surrounding nature.
When you are ready to retire for the evening any one of the six bedrooms makes for the perfect sanctuary. A stunning main floor primary suite has its own seating area with a TV, a gas fireplace, a private balcony with views of the ski area, and an indulgent ensuite with a soaking tub, a large walk-in shower, and custom tile work.
On the upper level is a beautiful king suite, with a private balcony looking out at the ski mountain and a stunning ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub. Next door is a gorgeous private office with a gas fireplace. In the hall is a convenient stackable washer and dryer. Also on the upper level is another king bedroom and a queen. Each with its own cozy fireplace, TV, and beautiful ensuite bathrooms.
Kids will love the lower-level bunk room, complete with three custom twin bunk beds and a private bathroom. The lower level also has a king suite with views of Mount Werner and the Thunderhead lift.
On the lower level is a beautiful family room, complete with a rustic wet bar, comfortable couches, large TV, and a family game table. Treat yourself to a soak in the private outdoor hot tub or heat up in the indoor sauna to soothe and rejuvenate tired muscles. A fully equipped exercise room with a TV will allow you to maintain your workout schedule and a truly custom ski room provides easy storage for skis and snowboards with boot dryers, work benches, and hot tub access. A laundry room is also on this level.
SKI ACCESS
Guests can walk out of the ski room on the home's lower level, down a few steps to the main road, then it's a 150 yard walk to the Thunderhead Lift. To return to the residence, you'll ski back to the Thunderhead Lift and walk down the road toward the home.
Ski access is subject to snow conditions and weather. Availability may vary depending on resort operations.
SHUTTLE
This home enjoys complimentary use of the Moving Mountains shuttle, mid-November through mid-April, using the convenient shuttle app to schedule pickups. Skip the hassle of a rental car and let us take you where you need to go.

IN HOME AMENITIES
All Moving Mountains properties have WIFI and come fully stocked with paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues), bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap), and detergents (dish, dishwasher, and laundry) as well as clean bed linens and towels. In addition, the kitchens are stocked with aluminum foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, sponges, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, Nespresso, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils, and standard small appliances.
This home does not have air conditioning. Colorado's cool summer nights will keep this home comfortable by opening windows after the sun goes down, and then closing the windows and blinds during the day. Utilizing the overhead fans, if available, keeps airflow moving, and additional floor fans can be found in many bedroom closets. Can't live without it? A/C units may be available for rent for an additional fee.
