With 10,400 finished square ft., this home provides an amazing opportunity for a multi-family or corporate group to spend time together. The custom finishes are top-of-the-line throughout, including beautiful wood and stone floors, floor-to-ceiling tile in all bathrooms, and four gas fireplaces with custom ironwork.
The large great room is open to the floor above with exposed wood beams creating an expansive and inviting space. Your group can relax on the oversized couches while enjoying the fireplace or TV. Out on the deck, complete with an outdoor fireplace, drink in the mountain views from the home's signature rocking chairs.
A professional kitchen is any chef’s dream. It is equipped with Sub-Zero double refrigerators, freezer drawers, an ice maker, and wine and beverage refrigerators. Beautiful new Wolf ranges with the iconic red control knobs boast 3 ovens, 10 gas burners, and an infrared dual griddle. To finish out the chef’s fantasy, there are two Asko dishwashers, a built-in Miele espresso maker, a convection oven/microwave, copper farm sinks, and a double island made of stunning banded ironstone. The outside island has seating for four people and a large wall-mounted TV adds even more ambiance.
For indulging in the food your chef has put together, there is a gorgeous new 14-person dining table with luxurious chairs, stylish lighting, and incredible artwork. This is a beautiful dining space to gather and entertain.
The primary suite on the main floor features a massive, one-of-a-kind, custom, 90 sq. ft. bed, a rock fireplace, a desk area, and access to the front patio. The spacious and luxurious jade-green marble ensuite boasts plentiful counter space, dual sinks, a towel warmer, and a large tub. An enormous closet boasts a center island, plentiful clothing storage, mirrors, and access to the laundry room. Circle around to a large gear storage room and access to the garage and kitchen.
The upper level of the home has five additional bedrooms, including an apartment-sized queen suite with a full kitchen, sitting area, ensuite bath, and access to the upper deck with a hot tub. A fun bunk room has three twin and three full beds, a private ensuite, and access to the deck and hot tub. Down the hall are two more suites, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed and deck access. In the hall is a large roll-top desk and chair.
A queen suite sits off the upper loft and has access to a small deck with ski area views and a shared bathroom. A stunning upstairs sitting area loft overlooks the great room and offers a desk area for remote workers and a beautiful place to relax.
The lower level of this home is where entertaining is at its best. The huge family room offers a zebra-striped billiards table and a large projection movie screen with 8 reclining theater seats for the ultimate movie night. For your refreshments, enjoy a full wet bar with a beverage refrigerator and freezer and barstool seating for 8. A round game table is perfect for cards, or enjoy seating by the nearby fireplace.
An adjacent bedroom suite has a king bed, two hammocks, a sitting area with a wall-mounted TV, and an attached ensuite with a closet, dual sinks, and a large walk-in shower.
Perfect for an executive retreat, just past the family room is a new, large conference room ready for business meetings. A gorgeous U-shaped conference table has 12 plush swivel chairs, a wall-mounted TV, and whiteboards for brainstorming.
Down the hall is a powder bath on the way to the adjacent game room, which has a ping pong table, shuffleboard, a keyboard, and couches to relax on in front of another wall-mounted TV. Next to the game room is an incredible gym with a 14-foot high climbing wall, a climbing rope, rings, floor mats, and a foosball table.
In addition to all the lower-level fun and incredible bedroom suites, Rocking Chair Lodge boasts the largest deck at The Porches with an outdoor fireplace and a magnificent view of the ski mountain. The Porches amenities are one of the biggest attractions to this neighborhood and include a 6000 square foot "barn" with a heated outdoor pool and hot tubs, outdoor BBQ deck and fire pit, fitness center, kids' playroom, business center, and great room.
SHUTTLE
This home enjoys complimentary use of the Moving Mountains shuttle, mid-November through mid-April, using the convenient shuttle app to schedule pickups. Skip the hassle of a rental car and let us take you where you need to go.
In addition, this residence is in the The Porches neighborhood that offers a year-round shuttle service for transportation within the town of Steamboat.

IN HOME AMENITIES
All Moving Mountains properties have WIFI and come fully stocked with paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues), bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap), and detergents (dish, dishwasher, and laundry) as well as clean bed linens and towels. In addition, the kitchens are stocked with aluminum foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, sponges, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, Nespresso, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils, and standard small appliances.
This home does not have air conditioning. Colorado's cool summer nights will keep this home comfortable by opening windows after the sun goes down, and then closing the windows and blinds during the day. Utilizing the overhead fans, if available, keeps airflow moving, and additional floor fans can be found in many bedroom closets. Can't live without it? A/C units may be available for rent for an additional fee.
