Apex Lodge North, completely remodeled in 2023, has breathtaking views of the Yampa Valley and a deck that wraps around the entire main level with French doors out from every room, Apex Lodge North is the perfect mountain vacation home, ideally located on the prestigious Ski Trail Lane just minutes from the resort base area. A heated walkway provides ski-out access via a blue run. More advanced skiers can ski-in via Lower Valley View (a black run.)
The home comfortably accommodates 14 people in 6 bedrooms, four of them with king beds. Guests will enjoy two living areas. The first, on the main level, features a spacious living room connected to a large kitchen and dining area with a table that seats 10. The gourmet kitchen features luxury appliances, a separate beverage center, and two dishwashers. The oversized island provides plenty of space to cook and barstool seating for 8 guests.
French doors lead from the main living area to the back deck that features an outdoor kitchen with a wrap-around bar, television, barstool seating, gourmet grill, and a hot tub. The outdoor kitchen is covered to allow for grilling year-round.
Off the kitchen is a closed-door office with insulated walls for privacy and two desks and chairs.
This main floor just keeps going with three king bedrooms, all ensuite (one with a separate tub), and each has private deck access.
The upper level of the home is dedicated to the primary suite with a custom log bed, large stone fireplace, and sweeping views of the Yampa Valley. This private escape is topped off with a spacious ensuite bathroom with a separate tub, walk-in dual-head shower and separate vanities for the ultimate spa-like experience.
The home’s second living area is on the lower level and set up for fun with oversized couches, fireplace, big screen TV, pool table, and arcade game. The kids will make this floor home! The bunk room sleeps eight, with four twin-over-full bunks and ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is also a queen bedroom and a second bathroom with walk-in shower. The large laundry room is found between the lower and main levels.
The ground-level 2-car garage has a large Alpine boot and glove drying system, ski and snowboard racks, and the adjoining mud room offers ample seating to get ready for the slopes. The garage also has a Tesla home charging station.
An attached home, Apex Lodge South, shares the same driveway and shared garage wall. While the homes feel private and separate, you can rent both Apex Lodge North and Apex Lodge South (Apex Grande), which together accommodate up to 30 people.
Four-wheel drive is required in winter months. However, this home does feature a heated driveway.
SKI ACCESS
Apex Lodge North enjoys private and heated walk-to-ski access for advanced skiers and is dependent on snow conditions. Lower Valley View is a 5–7-minute walk. From the top of the trail, skiing/riding down the slopes is an intermediate-level run down to the base. The return to Apex Lodge North is via Lower Valley View, a BLACK Diamond run, only recommended for advanced skiers. This private ski access is out of the ski area boundary and guests ski in/out at their own risk.
Please note that Lower Valley View is a south-facing, lower-mountain ski trail. Opening and closing dates are seasonal and snow-dependent.
