Centrally located off HWY 28 the home is steps away from a public transportation stop, so you can comfortably get by without having a vehicle if needed. A quick two-minute walk will take you to the public transportation TART stop at Hwy 28 at Stag Dr. From here you are just a 20-minute bus ride to Tahoe City where you can easily connect to other locations at the Tahoe City Transit Center to locations such as Northstar California Resort. Those with a vehicle enjoy being close to HWY 28 and the quick access it provides to the beautiful surrounding areas, with less than a 15-minute drive to Tahoe City and a 10-minute drive to the Nevada state line. Just a 3-minute drive will take you to Patton Beach, and in the opposite direction, the popular Kings Beach is only a 4-minute drive away. In the wintertime, you are centrally located for skiing all of the best resorts with a 25-minute drive or less from three of the area's best ski resorts, Northstar, Squaw Valley ski resort, and Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center. Tahoe has UBER, Lyft, and many taxi companies.

The home is located on the main road and will experience road noise, but the central location and proximity to the lake is worth it!

If you are renting this home from November through March, please remember that there may be winter driving conditions, and a 4-wheel drive with all-terrain tires or snow chains for your 2-wheel drive tires might be necessary for safe travel. Even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days, side roads can still be icy and have snow on them. Please also be aware of long travel times and pass closures due to winter weather conditions.

This is a strict no-pet cabin, the owners have extreme allergies, so please do not ask - The answer will be no :), But please check out our Host page for our other pet-friendly homes!

• Please note that grills and outdoor furniture are not available during the months of November to April due to snow.
• This is a child-friendly rental, but it is your responsibility to bring all of the necessary equipment for their safety and comfort. There is not a fence or impassible barrier between the road and the lake access, so this could present a danger to small children.
• If you are looking to party, please look elsewhere. This is a well-cared-for home full of nice things, and we are very close in proximity to our neighbors whom we know very well. If you are disrespectful, we will know and ask you to leave.

Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.

Please note that the A/C does work, but may not successfully cool the upstairs rooms, which will be warmer than the rest of the home most of the time.

Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.

4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.
