Stay in this BRAND NEW mid-century modern home completed in January 2020.
The Gaslight takes its name from what was once a famous café & performing arts venue in Manhattan during the 1960s. The venue became a famous meeting spot for musicians, artists and poets alike – providing a place to recharge, relax and share ideas.
The property features beautiful archival photography of notable Gaslight performers (including Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix, Jack Kerouac, Andy Warhol & more) and clean, modern interior design that provides the perfect getaway and space for relaxation & reflection.
Sitting on 3 acres, this beautiful desert haven features views atop a hillside overlooking Joshua Tree & Yucca Valley. Directly adjacent to 100+ acres of untouched land, perfect for hiking & exploring.
Need to get away and finish that screenplay, presentation or project? Our fully contained & WIFI-equipped home provides the perfect sanctuary to focus, with gorgeous sweeping views of the Mojave Desert. Romantic getaway? Listen to music on our high-end, in-ceiling sound system while you make a meal in our modern kitchen, watch the sunset by the firepit with some wine, then Netflix n' chill. Need to escape the city with some friends? Just want to relax by yourself? Have a cold beer, doze in one of our four hammocks, then sit in the hot tub and gaze at the stars.
Whatever your adventure, make The Gaslight your home base in Joshua Tree!
NOTE FROM THE OWNER:
Hi! We are Kieran & Laetitia and live in Los Angeles with our two little girls. Kieran works for a major record label and Laetitia works in finance for a digital agency.
We’ve always had a passion & love for traveling, meeting new people & experiencing new cultures all around the world.
We first visited Joshua Tree in 2018 and immediately fell in love with the beautiful & extreme landscape of the Mojave Desert. We were also blown away by the calming effect the landscape, the wildlife, the sun, and the stars had on us mentally and physically --- and knew immediately we had to create a sanctuary of our own to share that experience.
This is a truly special place and we hope you get the chance to experience it & re-charge!
You will need a car, but rideshares and taxis are also readily available.
