There is spotty cell coverage in the Yucca Valley desert. We recommend taking note of the WiFi password and access code beforehand, which is available on the “Trips” tab in the Wander app. Cell network strength can vary by topology, time of day, weather, and whether you’re located inside or outside of a vehicle or house.
Due to dry weather and air conditions, several local towns usually implement a burn ban in the winter season and from mid-June to October. Please remain FIRE AWARE, as gusty winds and extremely dry conditions pose a heightened risk. When an active burn ban is in place, we recommend refraining from any outdoor burning until conditions improve with anticipated rain.
Note also that driving or parking over dry vegetation has the potential to start wildfires.
The desert is home to a variety of amazing creatures, including coyotes, rabbits, scorpions, quail, owls, snakes, and other wildlife. It is incredible for those who love to nature-watch from afar, but may not be for everyone. Use caution and do not touch wildlife.
Avoid leaving food outside (including residue in grills or fires), secure all garbage, and keep doors and windows closed.
Please alert the Concierge in case of a rattlesnake sighting. The local management team is in contact with a snake wrangler that can relocate snakes without harm.
Quiet hours are from 9 PM to 7 AM. We kindly ask that you refrain from hosting parties or creating excessive noise during your stay, as we strive to maintain a peaceful environment for both our guests and neighbors. Amplified outdoor sounds are strictly prohibited.
We recommend but do not require arriving in an SUV vehicle, as dirt roads leading to the property are well-maintained but a little bumpy. Ensuring your vehicle is equipped and driving carefully will help make your arrival as smooth and safe as possible.
This home follows a strict maximum occupancy rule. Please make sure that the total number of guests accompanying you (including both children and adults) doesn’t exceed the indicated maximum occupancy above to avoid cancellation of your stay and additional fees.
Day guests may be allowed with advanced notice and approval.
This is a pet-free hypoallergenic space. No pets are allowed inside the home to maintain a hypoallergenic area as much as possible for our guests’ comfort.
