With its terracotta roof, natural stonework and shaded walkways, Las Rocas has the warmth and character of a desert hacienda. Step inside and the home opens into a dramatic great room, where soaring timber ceilings, a towering stone fireplace and expansive windows bring the surrounding landscape into focus. Rich leather furnishings, colorful tilework and thoughtful architectural details give the home a personality all its own. It's an inviting place to settle in, with room for everyone to spend time together or find a favorite corner of their own.

-Outdoor Amenities-
The outdoor spaces are where Las Rocas really shines. Perched above a landscape of enormous boulders and rolling desert hills, the infinity-edge pool makes an impressive backdrop for a day spent doing very little. Stretch out on one of the loungers along the flagstone deck, claim the poolside daybed with a book, or slip into the water and take in the view.

A shaded patio offers a comfortable place to escape the afternoon sun, while the BBQ grill makes it easy to keep lunch or dinner outdoors. As the day winds down, gather around the fire pit with a drink and watch the colors change across the mountains. The hot tub offers another inviting spot to relax, particularly once the air cools and the valley lights begin to twinkle below.

A fountain courtyard, stone accents and private gated entry complete the setting, giving the property a distinctive sense of arrival.

The heart of the home is its spacious great room, where high wood-beamed ceilings and a magnificent stone fireplace create a setting that feels both grand and comfortable. Deep leather sofas and distinctive woven armchairs offer plenty of places to settle in, whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a movie or relaxing after a day exploring Joshua Tree.

Large windows and sliding glass doors keep the surrounding hills in view, even when you're gathered indoors. A wrought-iron chandelier, colorful textiles and stained-glass details add warmth and character, while quieter seating areas offer a place to read or enjoy a little downtime away from the group.

-Kitchen and Dining-
Bright and full of character, the kitchen brings together white cabinetry, patterned tile, natural wood finishes and generous windows looking out over the desert. A curved breakfast bar with stools creates a casual gathering spot, while ample counter space and a fully stocked kitchen make preparing meals together easy.

Start the morning with coffee at the counter as sunlight fills the room, prepare a big breakfast before heading out, or spend the evening cooking while friends gather nearby. The adjoining dining area sits beneath warm pendant lighting, with stained-glass accents adding a little extra personality to meals shared around the table.

When the weather is too good to stay inside, take dinner outdoors and let the desert views provide the backdrop.

-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
Las Rocas offers four bedrooms, each with its own personality, making it a welcoming setup for families and groups of friends traveling together.

Two bedrooms feature king beds, a third has a queen bed, and the fourth is furnished with a bunk bed that's especially well suited to younger guests. Rather than identical rooms, each has distinctive design details, from geometric patterns and rich accent colors to warm wood furnishings and playful textiles. Several bedrooms also enjoy views of the surrounding valley and hills.

The home includes two full bathrooms featuring patterned tile and contemporary finishes, including one with a double vanity. An additional half bathroom features warm orange tile and a wood vanity. A separate laundry room with a washer and dryer adds convenience for longer stays.

-Games and Entertainment-
There's plenty to keep the group entertained beyond the pool. Arcade games, a pool table and ping pong bring a playful side to Las Rocas, making it easy to turn a quiet afternoon into a little friendly competition.

Challenge the family to a tournament, squeeze in a few rounds before dinner, or let the kids enjoy the games while the adults relax elsewhere. With plenty of ways to spend time together, Las Rocas makes it just as enjoyable to plan a full day at home as it is to head out and explore the desert.

-Surrounding Area-
Las Rocas is surrounded by local hiking and biking trails, with Yucca Valley's groceries and shops for supplies. Downtown Joshua Tree has cafés and galleries, and Joshua Tree National Park is there for hiking, climbing and scenic drives. Pioneertown, Pappy and Harriet's, the Integratron and Palm Springs all make good outings.

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.

-House-Specific Rules-
► Please keep music at a reasonable volume and turn it off by the start of quiet hours.
► Please rinse off oils and lotions before entering, and no drinking in the hot tub, please.
► Weddings and events are by inquiry only and are subject to permits and applicable law.

-Pool Heating Fee-
Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival, as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you'd like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. Please note that we will need at least 24 hours' notice to heat the pool.

► $350 first night, $250 each night after

During the winter months, please be aware that colder outdoor temperatures may cause the pool to feel cooler than its maintained temperature of 85°F. We kindly ask that you ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before submitting a request, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis.

-Pool and Hot Tub Service-
The pool and hot tub are serviced Tuesdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.

-Pet Policy-
We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

-Wildlife & Safety-
The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

-Security Camera-
For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the pool and hot tub areas.

-Cell Service-
Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.

-Damage Waiver Policy-
Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
