A charming family-friendly farm just outside Zion in Hurricane, with seasonal events, animals, and wide-open country scenery. It's a relaxed, slower-paced outing and a fun change for the kids between park days. Tickets are booked online in advance (none are sold at the gate), and hours shift with the season, so call ahead to confirm. About 20 minutes from St. George.
A luxe geothermal soaking destination near Zion and the perfect way to unwind after a day on the trails. Choose from more than 50 pools, including natural mineral hot springs, globally inspired soaking pools themed after spots like the Dead Sea and Iceland's Blue Lagoon, cold plunges, and freshwater family pools. Round it out with barrel saunas, firepits, and a poolside bar.
A hidden desert canyon hike right in Hurricane that feels worlds away from the Zion crowds, with no fee or permit required. The roughly 2.2-mile out-and-back trail winds up a sandy wash to three sculpted "falls," with the lower fall an easy third of a mile in and a perfect turnaround for families. The falls are usually dry and only run after rain or in spring, but the slot-canyon scenery is the real draw either way. Go September through May and wear shoes with good traction.
