What’s a vacation for your pup if it doesn’t include some time out in nature? Here are some activities for you and your friend to enjoy around Hudson Valley.

There’s nothing like a day out on the water especially when you can bring your dog with you. Central to Hudson Valley and Catskills, A Day Away Kayak Rentals offers rentals for you and your dog on an hourly basis. It’s perfect for first time paddlers and more experienced ones alike.

Just make sure your pet is friendly, leashed, can swim. We also recommend bringing a life jacket for your pet. If you don't have one, you can buy one there.

Whether your dog needs a little exercise or some socializing with other dogs, then Kingston Point Dog Park is just the place for you. With amazing views of the Hudson River and The Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, your dog won’t be the only one enjoying a breath of fresh air.

What's a vacation without a little wine? You can bring your dog to join you for wine tastings at Robibero Winery, a small boutique winery that handcrafts their wines in small lots producing unique vintages. The weekend might be the best time to visit if you’re craving for some pizza and a variety of cheeses, meats, and crackers.

If you and your four-legged buddy would enjoy a day of walking around a farm and picking your own fruits, then Greig Farm is the place for you.

While you’re there, you can enjoy lunch and apple cider donuts the farm market. Just keep in mind that fruit picking is seasonal. Be sure to check their schedule on their website.

Sometimes you and your furry friend might need a relaxing walk on an easy trail. Black Creek Forest Trail is an easy hike in scenic Hudson that’ll take a little over an hour to complete.

Black Creek gets its unique color from the tannic acids in the many hemlock trees in the preserve, making your walk a bit more picturesque.
