As the snow melts, Lake Tahoe sees a rebirth. The flowers start peeking out from the ground and there is a joyous feeling in the air. When visiting Wander Tahoe Slopes located on Northstar Mountain, it’s the perfect time to engage in the following activities.

1) Go to the Beach

Speaking of the beach…what better way to enjoy a summer day than to laze on one of Lake Tahoe’s immaculate beaches? They offer fine-grain sand and water clearer than you may imagine possible.

2) Mountain Biking

When it’s warm, Lake Tahoe is the perfect destination for mountain biking. Tahoe South is designated as a bike-friendly community, so there are plenty of bikes available for rent and lots of paths to take them on. For an exhilarating experience, head out to Saxon’s Creek and find out why it’s nicknamed Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. Alternatively, you can have a leisurely bike ride on the path by Truckee River, Lake Tahoe’s sole outlet.

3) Take a Cruise

The warmer months are a terrific time to take a cruise to Emerald Bay, the only inlet to Lake Tahoe. While on the water, you can take in a view of the majestic mountains. Once you arrive at the park, you can enjoy nature or check out its many landmarks including Fannette Island, home to Mrs. Knight’s Tea House. and the majestic Vikingsholm Castle.

Music lovers rejoice. The South Lake Tahoe Summer Concerts brings a variety of world-class musicians to the area. Harvey’s Summer Concert Series is known for featuring Grammy award-winning entertainers. The Live at the Lakeview Music Series has musicians jamming tunes right on the beach.
