Who said outdoor dining only means trying out restos in town? A perfect way to top off your trip is by cooking hearty meals for you and your crew. Plus, it's a great way to bond with family and friends over a shared love for good food!

At Wander, we have all the essentials whether you're a grilling rookie or a seasoned pro. So fire up the grill and get ready for some tasty vacation memories at Wander Anchor Cove!

Safety precautions

For a memorable grilling experience, safety must come first! Ensure that children and pets are kept far away from the grill, and never leave the grill unattended while cooking.

Also, avoid placing flammable materials on the grill that could potentially catch fire, such as gasoline, debris, wood, etc. Remember these tips to make grilling as safe and enjoyable as possible!

How to turn on/off the grill

You could easily find the grill on the back deck – an ideal spot for hosting an evening of grilling during your vacation!

  • To get started, open the lid before igniting the grill’s burners.

  • Press down on the burner knobs and rotate them slowly in a counter-clockwise direction until they reach the high position.

  • Listen for the sound of the gas igniting and keep an eye out for any flames popping up through the cooking grids.

  • If the burner fails to ignite, wait for five minutes to allow any excess gas to disperse, then try again.

  • When you’re finished, simply turn the knobs to the "Off" position and turn off the gas supply.

If you want to learn more about working the grill properly, check out the User Manual here.

Troubleshooting steps

If the grill is not turning on, try checking the knobs to see if the gas is turned on or off. It's also possible that the gas has run out, so we may need to refill the tank.

If the ignitor button is not functioning, you'll find a lighter in the house to manually light the burners. However, before doing so, it is important to wait for at least 5 minutes to allow any accumulated gas to dissipate.

  • Start by holding the lighter to the top of the Lighting Tube (see photo above)

  • Afterward, press and turn the control knob to HIGH

  3. Add sugar-based sauces, like BBQ sauce, at the end of cooking to avoid burning.

  4. Trim excess fat from foods to reduce flare-ups while cooking.
