How to Use the Treadmill at Wander Anchor Cove

Stay active and fit in more steps with this guide!

Taking a vacation is an excellent way to relax and unwind, but it doesn't mean you have to put your fitness goals on hold. At Wander, we understand the importance of staying active and keeping up with your fitness regimen no matter where you are. That’s why we made sure that our homes have the essential gym amenities including a treadmill so you can stay on track.

Follow along as we share some tips on using the treadmill so you can stay fit and healthy while staying at Wander Anchor Cove.

Tips before you put in the work

Pre-workout prep is just as important as the hard work you put into your workout. So before you hit the treadmill, make sure you have these things sorted out:

  1. It is important to stay hydrated, especially when exercising. Drinking water at least 90 minutes before a strenuous run can help improve your endurance.

  2. Wear the right shoes based on your size and needs.

  3. Make sure that you stretch those muscles to avoid any injuries or accidents.

  4. Be familiar with the treadmill you plan to use to utilize its features fully.

  5. Check around and ensure that no objects nearby may hinder you or the treadmill's movement.

You should find all the workout equipment in the garage on the ground floor.

Manual Workout

To begin, switch on the machine using the button located on the frame close to the power cord. Stand on the foot rails of the treadmill and grab that clip that's attached to the key and clip it onto your clothing's waistband for added safety. Next, stick the key into the console and give it a second — the displays should light up in no time!

For a quick and relaxed warm-up or run, you can simply press the "Manual" button on the lower right to start. Activate the walking belt by either pressing the "Start" or the "Speed Increase" button or any of the "Speed" buttons labeled from 1 to 10.

If you want to speed up or slow down the walking belt, just hit one of the numbered "Speed" buttons. The belt will start to move faster or slower until it gets to the speed you want. To stop the belt, hit the "Stop" button, and the time display will start flashing. When you're ready to start up again, hit the "Start" button or the "Speed Increase" button.

Training Program

Fitness programs are available based on your goals. By pressing the "Calorie," "Intensity," or the "Speed" button, you can choose the workout you’re up for. Hit the "Start" button when you find the one you like, and you're all set!

As soon as your workout program is complete, just step onto the foot rails and hit the "Stop" button. Don't forget to set the incline back to zero so it doesn't mess up the machine. Also, make sure you take out the key from the console and put it somewhere safe. And last but not least, turn off the power switch to fully shut down the treadmill.
