Kiawah Island, SC, USThe Ocean Room is Kiawah Island’s Forbes Five-Star steakhouse, serving masterful locally sourced beef and seafood in an elegant setting with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean[1][2][4]. Its seasonally changing menu and over 1,000 wine selections ensure an unparalleled dining experience overlooking lush dunes and the sea[3][4][5].
Tomasso at Turtle Point is Kiawah Island’s Italian gathering place, blending old-world cuisine with contemporary Lowcountry flavors using fresh, locally sourced ingredients[2]. Set in the Turtle Point Clubhouse overlooking a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, it offers a charming ambiance perfect for casual lunches, dinners, or happy hour cocktails[8].

Turtle Point Golf Course is a scenic Jack Nicklaus design on Kiawah Island featuring three oceanfront holes and strategic lagoons that reward smart course management over brute strength. Osprey Point is a Tom Fazio-designed, championship-level 18-hole course on Kiawah Island, SC, renowned for its pristine Lowcountry marsh setting and open, memorable layout that welcomes all skill levels. Golfers seeking an elite yet accessible experience in a stunning natural forest will love this world-renowned resort course. Wait—there’s a critical conflict in the search results: some sources describe Osprey Point as an 18-hole Tom Fazio course on **Kiawah Island, SC** [1][4][7][9], while others describe it as a **27-hole public/municipal course in Boca Raton, FL**, designed by Roy Case and Jeff Grossmann [3][8][10][12][13][15][16]. These are **two different golf courses** with the same name. Given the prominence of the Kiawah Island, SC version in major golf publications (Golf Digest, Golf Advisor) and its Tom Fazio design, it is likely the more widely recognized “Osprey Point Golf Course” for general audiences. However, the Florida version is explicitly called the “best public golf course in the Boca Raton area” [14] and is nationally award-winning [15]. Since the user did not specify location, I must clarify this ambiguity. But the prompt asks for a **brief, engaging 1–2 sentence description** under 50 words, plain text only, no citations. To fulfill the request accurately, I should pick the most prominent version. The Kiawah Island, SC course is ranked #11 on Golf Digest’s “America’s Top 50 Courses for Women” [9], has a 4.5-star “Best Places to Play” rating [9], and was renovated by Tom Fazio in 2014 [1][9]. It’s more likely the intended subject for a general “special activity” description. Final decision: Describe the **Kiawah Island, SC** version, as it’s the more prestigious and widely cited Osprey Point. Osprey Point is a Tom Fazio-designed championship course on Kiawah Island, SC, featuring pristine Lowcountry marsh views, open fairways, and uniquely memorable holes that welcome golfers of all levels to an elite yet accessible resort experience.
Discover Marsh Island Park’s secret 8-acre island sanctuary, where a boardwalk over saltmarsh leads to a view tower offering panoramic vistas of the Kiawah River and abundant wildlife like herons and migratory birds[1][3]. Nature lovers, birdwatchers, and peaceful explorers seeking a serene, hidden escape will especially enjoy this unique conservation easement[2][5].
Oak Point Golf Course is Kiawah Island’s hidden gem, offering a scenic, strategic round along the Kiawah River with Paspalum fairways and charming Lowcountry vistas that favor thoughtful play over raw power[2][7]. Perfect for golfers of all skill levels and mixed-ability groups seeking a relaxed yet beautiful resort experience away from the island’s louder championship courses[10][14].
