The closest beach is Folly Field Beach. There is a dedicated paved path from the house all the way to the beach. Walking to the beach takes about 9-10 min (it can take longer with kids or older family members). You can drive your car or a golf cart to the beach. There is beach parking with 51 metered parking spaces and 3 ADA-accessible spaces. Why Folly Field Beach is one of the best beaches in Hilton Head: • Folly Field Beach is beautiful • Has parking. A short walk from the parking over the wooden access ramp continued with an access pathmat over the dunes. ADA accessible • Beach amenities: bathroom, shower, bike rack, drinking fountain, trash cans • Lifeguard during summer seasons • Less crowded than Coligny Beach • Some other Hilton Head beaches have no lifeguards, no access ramps, no amenities, no parking • Some other Hilton Head beaches require a long walk from their parking lot • With no amenities on other beaches and in some neighborhoods, you have to walk home if you or your kids need to use the bathroom • Hard to drag beach wagons on other beaches with no access ramp Elevator Disclosure: The residential elevators provided in select vacation homes are intended primarily for guests with mobility limitations. For safety reasons, elevator use by children or for recreational purposes is strictly prohibited. Guests requiring elevator access are asked to notify us prior to arrival so that arrangements may be confirmed. While every effort is made to maintain elevators in working order, their continuous and fault-free operation cannot be guaranteed. These systems are complex and, in the event of a malfunction, repairs must be conducted by licensed elevator technicians, which may result in delays beyond our control. Please be advised that the inclusion of an elevator does not influence the rental rate. As such, no discounts, refunds, or other compensation will be provided should the elevator become inoperable at any point during your stay. About the Owner: Hi, I am an Army Combat Veteran, who served as a paratrooper and deployed to Bosnia at the height of that conflict. My lovely wife and I raised two beautiful daughters in Massachusetts. We are an active family who enjoys cardio and strength training, tennis, pickleball, beach and golf. Our two daughters played collegiate soccer and are currently pursuing careers of service in healthcare and rare disease. Time as a family has always been important to us, so we decided to build this home as a special place to enjoy together and are excited to share our home with other families who are looking to build life long memories. Elevator Note: This property features a residential elevator for occasional adult use. It is not ADA-compliant and should not be relied upon by guests with mobility needs, so stairs will still be necessary to access the home. For safety, use by children or for recreational purposes is strictly prohibited. Elevators are sensitive systems and may stop functioning due to weather events (such as flooding, power outages, or high winds), overloading, user error, or safety mechanism triggers. Repairs must be performed by licensed third-party vendors and may not be available on short notice, resulting in extended downtime. While our team makes every effort to keep the elevator in working order, continuous availability cannot be guaranteed. The presence of an elevator does not affect rental rates; therefore, no refunds, discounts, or other compensation will be provided if it becomes unavailable. Pool Note: Please note that water temperature can vary with outdoor conditions, and during colder winter months the pool may not always reach a comfortable temperature even while the heater is working. Our team services pools regularly and will assist quickly if an issue arises, though refunds or discounts can't be offered for temporary downtime or cooler-than-expected water. For safety, children should always be supervised while using the pool.
